Don't wrap headers unless you want them to rust WAY too prematurely. I would make a header recommendation, but the crowd would beat it in the ground so.....

...like Evans. As to the steering column getting very hot, I have not experienced, nor have I had anyone ever tell me, that headers transmit that kind of heat into a column. If that is the case, it might be cheaper to try a header wrap first. If it works, then look at some ceramic coated ones.

I agree that the trans cooler in a radiator probably can't handle engine oil pressure. Just saying there may be some advantage to more equal fluid temperatures. Toyotas engineers thought so.

My take on this is , first , the cooling lines in the rad. are too small ! Second, why don`t u just wrap the header in that location, and wrap the oil filter itself. I have been wrapping my starters for yrs ! Have never lost one yet .

What replacement cable did you use? If it is not the gray hurst cable the eyelet on shifter end is bigger and leave enough play that it won’t fully go into some gears. You can make a bushing to take out the slack and it will work perfectly.

Yep, too close. It could, can, be that close if it were a over axle tail pipe. Definitely not okay near primary tubes.
