'70 Dart 392 Project; what direction?

Got front suspension back in minus rack/pinion and sway bar. Adjusted my coilovers up about 2” from bottom of shock body and got the front end up as low as I want it. Probably end up raising it up another inch I’m guessing. Rear end will likely drop 1-1.25” when I get interior/glass/gas...

    Highest flowing sbm heads?

You could do a whole @HemiDenny front suspension, it converts to coilovers and a rack-and-pinion setup. That’s a “bolt in” solution. Or you could keep the manual box and add a Toyota electric power assist under the dash in line with the column. But that takes some fabrication and messing with.

Any Recommendations on a 1/2" Digital Torque Wrench?

...way to check them is with a beam wrench. As for dial calipers, you have to keep them closed when not using them to keep the gear rack and pinion gear clean or dirt will wear them out prematurely. I have worn a out a few, but my eyes are not good enough anymore to read a vernier scale so...

    Ball joint adapters?

...handle just as well or arguably better with upgraded components for your torsion bar suspension, and do so for significantly less money depending on the set up. The only thing you can accomplish with a coil over conversion that you can't do with a torsion bar set up is a rack and pinion...

    73 Duster 340 Suspension Recommendations

...swap on my Challenger, and instantly regretted every minute the KYB's were left on the car. As for the coil overs, all they get you is a rack and pinion and header clearance. Anything you can do suspension wise with the coil over conversions you can accomplish with the torsion bar suspension.

    Rack and pinion

Just considering a rack and pinion conversion, I'm not interested in doing a coil over swap, can't afford it for one thing.

Ah, no. No pic. I would just like to document or find someone who has the pics, the car, etc of what Super Stock was doing. Found the NHRA rule books, but want to know the cars. Swiss cheese the upper arms, gun drilling all the bolts, rack and pinion steering changes, cut K members, etc

...approximately 9” to place the new mounts wherever they seem to work best. My plan is to get some 67 and up tti swap headers for a rack and pinion setup, get them on and place the engine in the engine compartment where everything is kosher and then build mount from the k frame to the engine...

    Highest flowing sbm heads?

Thats an interesting proposal. I would be putting in a new steering column then anyway,I should research that route. Have you seen it done before? I'm not wanting to go to coilovers if it can be avoided.

    71 Dakota100 suspension build

...you may remember my story of buying half of a ‘94 Dodge Dakota from a shroom head. I plan on using that front end in this truck. IFS, rack and pinion steering, disc brakes, easily adaptable to the 5x4.5 bolt pattern, and clears 15” wheels. The Dakota front track width is 6.75” narrower than...

Clearance problems are the bane of my existence. There's a reason why it's referred to as an elephant. I knew that the factory Hemi cars had special provisions made for brake boosters because the heads and regular booster wanted to share the same space. They used a special mounting bracket...

Magnum Exhaust Manifolds in an A Body

...- Would running 340 manifolds on a magnum head induce legit high-rpm flow problems...or is that not a thing? Q2 - Is there a proven rack and pinion steering conversion for the A-body's? I looked around and haven't yet found something that is a bolt-in and proven solution. I'm not apposed...

@Dan the man Now, you've been around here long enough you have surely seen these rack and pinion/coilover threads pop-up. The problem we have encountered is in fact getting the rack high enough to minimise the bump steer. You may have to jack the engine or massage the sump. The factory setup is not free of bump steer by the way. The rack we use is from our Holden Commodore range of cars. Our local GM product...
