    Steering column drop

Yes.. There is a procedure in the FSM. I followed the procedure last time but would take it a step farther next time. Some things that help. Remove the front seats Next time I'm going to remove the column from the car ( roll pin on the coupler, a hand full of nuts and bolts, and a couple...

Hey everyone I’m just curious if it’s possible to drop my steering column so that I can pull the gauge cluster on 74 Dart. Cheers and thanks in advance for any help.

    Tune up questions

Not a timing issue I do not believe. Ignition failure issue or Vacuum Diaphragm linkage/ way wrong spring in it. Perhaps a broken inner spring or two if you have dual springs.

Got a huge show tomorrow about 100 miles from here, might go to see it but I don't intend to enter the Ventura and hang around all day, especially when I have to work Monday. They usually get a fantastic turnout, 800+ vehicles from what I have seen before, weather forecast looks good too, so...

He`s talking reverse lights, can`t be accessed from the trunk. The back roll pan goes so far it`s easier to unscrew the assy. their is a short pigtail that is easy to unplug and then screw out the bulb socket. R+R.

    360 Questions.. pardon my ignorance.

Carb on the motor is junk.. peeked down the barrels and inside the intake was wet with fuel. Pulled the top off it, tweaked the float level and put it back in.. it fired up and ran for less than a minute, inside the barrels are slick with fuel and I got a big puff of smoke out of the carb when...

    Camshaft for 273

A 273 with any cam at the 340 Resto level or lower will be very responsive from just off idle to 5600 RPM. With the 4 speed stick, you will never be traveling at 850 RPM anytime in normal driving or you will pound the rod bearings out lugging it. Maybe 850 RPM with an Auto and 1800 RPM Stall...

    stamped steel LA rocker arms

It seems to me that you'd wanna tailor the rocker arms used to the cam you have, but also take into account the heads you're using. I'll be using ported 'O' heads on my 340 and, as far as I can tell, they're the 340/360 stock pieces. That said, if the 273 pieces work better for your...

They do make metalflake steering wheels, but the grip is like a rubberized plastic. Nice, and I have two, but they aren't the hard translucent plastic of some of the old Mopar wheels.

Does this prove David Vizard's 128 lsa formula ?

I've not said a thing about "how smart I am" because I constantly humble myself here. What I know won't fill up the head of a pin. I'm not the braggart here. I can post pictures of what I have built date stamped current with me standing beside it. I've never seen one single picture of anything...

    14" Disk brakes

You can do the big pattern disc brake swap using '73 and later A/E parts (and arguably FMJ spindles), and just use the factory 10.87" rotors without up sizing to the 11 3/4" rotors, and keep the 14" wheels, if my memory is correct. It'll stop just fine that way. I would DEFINITELY recommend...

Welcome to the site! It'll be nice to have someone from the industry who can vouch that this or that stupid design was because management has to save a few bucks, not because the engineers are stupid. A Body Mopars are the most fun to work on and drive on a dollar to smile basis. Enjoy!

    stamped steel LA rocker arms

First racecar motor I built,340, dc 284-484 cam, keep pushing pushrods through the arms. Went to salvage yard and they had a 273 with adjustable rockers. Set of pushrods and I never had that problem again with that motor.

Welcome to our little community of a-body madman!!! Like @mopar head said, you should be able to remove the light socket from inside the trunk. Then push and turn the bulb to remove it.
