    Interior plastics paint?

This guy has done re-chroming of plastic in the past for me. If you have a good core, turn around is quick. Quality has been very good. http://www.mrgusa.com/rechrome.htm

what to do with this rally dash?????????????????????????

340...... the chroming of the dash is actually an aluminum vacuum process and it is unbelievably expensive and DOES NOT LAST worth a fiddlers damn...if you accidentally get windex on it it will screw up!!! Find a decent painter, have them paint the base coat what ever color you decide then mask...

    Should I be upset?

Thanks for the input guys. I am a little upset at the seller Ohio Ironhead, for not returning my PM's. I haven't asked for anything at this point, I simply asked him what he felt about the situation, and once I forwarded him the pictures, he stopped responding. I guess I should also note that...

    Gauge cluster restoration?

...If you got the time and patience..heck ya do it yourself. There's a lot that goes into the restore, from repairs to the bezel, plastic chroming, gauge calibrations, lenses repairs, circuit board repairs. The list goes on and on. That is one detail, if you don't have the time, tools and know...

    Great guy alert: GTXperience

Not a long rant Ben, just the truth. I was kind of hoping that you would fill in the details. This is not a company that I would recommend to do a resto or anything else for that matter. Again, thanks Ben

    Great guy alert: GTXperience

...that I would never work with them. I do highly suggest gcartrim.com in WA though. They are the only ones I send parts to that need plastic chroming along with instrument cluster or grille restoration. Sorry for the long rant and Lenny, I am glad you have your parts in your possession now...

    Hi from Houston

Great to see so many Texans here! And a nod to other states and countries. Thanks for the warm welcome. Cudachick its not powder coat. Most of the black out chrome is a UV resistant one shot satin finish sort of trim paint. I had the chrome stripped at a chroming shop. To be honest I...

    Gauge cluster restoration?

Haha, yea I hear yea, but simply cannot afford to send it out at all. I am completely going through my duster, nut and bolt resto/mod. And have so many other expenses for parts that are absolutely necessary. The cluster is something I can go through myself now and maybe later have the cash...

    painting my 71 dart bumpers...

Same process for anything metal. sand prime paint. If the chrome is flaking off you might have better luck sand blasting them first. I painted mine after seeing that the PO had blasted the chrome off and used bed liner paint on them... :( Mine are just over 18 months old and have a few chips...

    Opinions on chroming

...for me to get my refund from the company, as they were looking for loop holes to keep the sale of the system. Long story short, plastic chroming is best done via vacuum plating, and these home plating kits do not use this process. My .02, and no doubt the disposal of some of these...

    Opinions on chroming

Here in Sweden it´s impossible to find anyone who´ll do the plating, ask me I´ve been looking. I was tossing with the same idea over here in Sweden until I got the price of the equipment to use, the price for it would cost me $150K. (vacuum plating) Sorry,I don´t mean to discourage you...

    Restoring Dash Bezel ???

Below is what I did for my non-wood grain 69 Barracuda For the instrument panel, I stripped the paint and old chrome with Easy-Off oven cleaner (does a good job and does not eat away at the plastic) I then used semi gloss black for the upper portion and Model Masters Acrylic Steel for the...

    Just Dashes

Last I heard it's gonna run about $500.... between stripping, chroming the plastic, polishing the lenses, etc. I did mine myself. If anyone is interested in details I can post a step-by-step.

    Rallye Dash Resto

This might be the best advice. Unless your building a 100 point car, I'd paint it. I painted mine with a nice silver flake, and filled in all of the grooves with gloss black. I'm happy with it. Only the MOPAR experts will know the difference anyway. Make yourself happy, and piss on everyone...

    Rallye Dash Resto

I stripped my dash plastic using Castrol Super Clean degreaser. I made a box out of wood and lined it with a plastic trash bag. Let the dash soak overnight and use a tooth brush and warm water to clean off the old plating. I primed and painted the dash semi-gloss black. Then I masked off the...

pics of 68 barracuda dash bezel needed

Many moons ago I belonged to the Barracuda Owners Group but I grew tired of 50-75 e-mails a day with such insightful messages as " I agree...." refering to a previous e-mail. It was a horrible system..... I remember when Jeff was re-doing his dash way back when. While it looks pretty good...
