Looks like a circle track project. As far as I can remember we had one Mopar that regularly raced here, '70 Dart I think it was and it was very successful.

What would you build if limited to 372ci - with boost as an option

Yes these are the classes. I would be in B as is. Would rather run C. And no. You picked Bown Vintage Gas Comp Coupe. I plan to run B/BGALT or B engine size, blown gas altered. Would like to go down to C/BGALT

It can be. If I was serious and that’s what I had to use I’d send the block to 300 Below and get it cryogenically treated.

Rear end advice for racing with a 4 speed

Damn, not only is that a sexy car, you just about can’t make a door car leave better than that. Nice front suspension drop, about 20-25% of the rear tire is wrinkled and not smashed to death and the rear of the car isn’t all stink bugged out with separation. And the car is flat with perfect...

Our district rock farm manager was going to retire. I started scrounging around our bone yard. In a well hidden area of my plant I built him a BBQ pit out of discarded rock plant parts. Conveyor parts, electric motor accessories, mobile equipment parts, whatever I could figger out a use for...

Mopar Muscle induction Extravaganza Dyno testing SBM intakes, comparison....

Yup, same thing just a different tool. It’s almost always an operator error or worse yet an operator fraud. It’s damn sad that that happens and we both know it does. It makes anyone legitimately testing take a black eye for the lazy and crooked.

Mopar Muscle induction Extravaganza Dyno testing SBM intakes, comparison....

Just for posterity that wish to understand I’ll type it out. A water brake engine dyno has things it cannot measure because of its very nature. One of those things is transient response. And that is HUGE. And it’s not just a drag race problem. In other words it’s limit in transit response...

I also thank you ! Love a Chinook The were known for hydraulic leaks. A crew chief told me that once when the readiness status was being checked by a big shot, he was pumping hydraulic oil from a 55 gallon barrel into the reservoir. Mid flight just chugging along. Lol

There are guys that purposely never calibrate their flow benches. With a manometer pilot style of bench it gets very tricky because weather affects it hourly. That why I sold my one bench and built an orfice style of bench with electronics. Set it and check it easily with your calibration plates...

I was trying not to be rude in anyway I hope I made that clear. I promise you it's not as concerning as it sounds on paper. The car will hold it. Let's not forget the best way to learn is to just dive in and figure it out. If he don't know how to fabricate. He will soon. And if not he has...

Brooks, thank you for your service to our country. As far as por15 removal from skin goes, I found out early on to sleeve up at least. If i get it on my hands i put a little oil on it and dig it loose. I did a 69 rr for a chinook pilot one time.

No one is arguing the fact that the guy can do whatever he wants with his car. I mean come on. To your point - people don’t generally modify unibody cars to such an extent. Nor do they put 1,500 lb drivetrains in 3,400lb. cars. When you start going beyond stuff like frame connectors and torque...

6.4/8hp70 finally up and running and ready

Well made it to the track. Didn't run as good as expected. Has a stock converter and 2.94 gears. Converter held me back. Thing wouldn't 60 ft at all. Truck was better i think. Ran a 11.75 120mph. With a 2.1 60ft. The mph tells me it's has plenty more in it. I would think once the tune...
