    Fresh carnage!

Shouldn't the bottom left bolt with hole be in top left? Not that that was the issue. What bolt/washer was used to retain top gear?

    Fresh carnage!

Yikes, had to be very abrupt to break the parts like that. Gear, chain, cover and even retainer. Were is the bolt and the piece of retainer. If it was the bolt loosening and jamming into the chain somehow, you would think there would be marks on the gear from interference. It would be...

    Fresh carnage!

I asked Dad if his builder degreed the cam. Nope. Since I have a tendency to hoard I was able to give dad a new timing cover, cam retainer plate, oil slinger, and a Blueprint harmonic balancer.

Very cool! I have a real soft spot for this color combo and year. My 1st wife bought ,for a wedding present to me, a lemon twist, 72 340 4spd Demon with a vinyl top like yours. We ended up selling it in 90 due to a heavy foot and unfortunately some internal damage happened ( my wife was...

I'm Cummins swapping a '74 Duster, thought I'd share the progress.

You've said this "1,500 lb drivetrains in 3,400lb. car" thing twice now, so I'm assuming you don't understand that your math is wrong. A '74 Duster weighs ~3,400 lbs with its drivetrain. He's not adding 1,500 lbs to the car. That 3,400 lbs is with a fully dressed small block, which means you...

Thanks for all the inputs everyone. Definitely given me much to consider. The cam i known is a bit weak but it came with the heads and intake I bought so I figured it will be okay as an interim solution. There will always be a desire to upgrade things down the road I'm sure and that'll be on the...

This engine was put together by an engine builder friend of my Dad’s (not a Mopar guy). He showed this to me this morning and it happened last night. He haven’t seen this mess in person. Any guess what happened?

The frickin' cable company decided to scramble their basic TV service signals. Oh and you have to pay extra for a box to unscramble the signal to view. I contacted them and voiced my opinion! I use the basic service here in the kitchen and it's what the wife watches upstairs in the bedroom...

    1972 Dodge Demon

Hi, the end of July 24 I bought this 1972 dodge demon. I have always wanted a muscle mopar and after 30’years of marriage my husband said it’s time to get that car. I already need some help on questions and found this forum and decided to join it. Thanks for having me! I am no mechanic but...
