    So I look up comp xe250h specs (I'd say good choice for mild 318) and ran it through the Wallace V/P DCR calculator, AJ got with stock 8.1 318, 140 psi 7.1 DCR and V/P 116, with the xe250h I got 137 psi 6.98 DCR and V/P 111 nothing to write about but for the power gain I doubt this slight loss...

    If you want to go slow and make less power than a stock 360, put a 318 carb, intake and heads on your 360...and don't forget to stick the 318 cam in there too. :realcrazy:

    I think that's for a 350. From the chart I'm looking at, for a 323 (.030 over 318) it looks like between 109 and 110. Kind of don't want to run a Comp Cams after reading about problems some people have with their hydraulic roller lifters. Leaning towards Howard's Cams or Hughes.

    That should be a good one. Make sure you check valve to piston clearance and the retainer to guide/seal clearance at full lift. Most cams are limited to .525 lift without some modifications. What rear gears are you running now?
