    Fresh carnage!

Where did the cam bolt and cupped washer go? Did it back out ? Any evidence of that on the inside of the timing covers. My guess is the cam bolt backed out. Then bad things happened !

You're right, it definitely is being pretty hopeful. I don't think it'll get there if I'm being completely honest with myself & you. Since this engine was nicknamed "Weird Science" for all of the random old school stuff I did to it i have always said I'd honestly be happy with anything from 325...

We've built the BBlks and Hemisback in the day, had a 340 Barracuda running 2/10s off the NHRA record. Lotsa really stout street engines with UBER valve springs. We also build, repair...

    Nmca and Nmra are finished.

Folks, as much as I hate to think about it, the end of our hobby is in sight. We know the agenda that is being contrived, and there is no room or place in it for our passion!

100% fact. But that friction is minimal compared to ring drag. IMO it’s better to not use a piston with offset pins and a 5/64 ring pack and use a piston with a centered pin and at the very most a 1/16 ring pack. The difference in friction loss between the two is significant. Plus the...

Last photo above. Note the bottom of the bottle. It's a horseshoe and you can shoot quarters into the slot in the front of the bottle.
