Overdrive Transmission for 630 HP motor

For something that light, "why?" Just use a 4 speed and a street gear like 3.54/3.55 just like we did back then. Something with that oomph cal pull a higher gear

Overdrive Transmission for 630 HP motor

I went through the current threads, and couldn't find what I was looking for, so I wanted to post my question. This isn't actually for my '67 GT Convertible, but for my '55 Pilothouse Truck, although the info should be mostly the same. I am building a 630 HP 383 > 496 that I am putting in the...

Just be aware there are lots of frankenstein parts carbs out there. It could be a mish-mosh of parts from a lot of different carbs.

    Anyone know anything about Subarus?

I just like the Lagacy wagons for their old-man friendly interiors, and slow-to rust bodies. That they have arguably the best AWD system, to me, is of no great importance. It's coming out. But they come with six cylinders at least and I hate the sound of 4-bangers no matter how well they are...

Came to post about the valve to piston concerns. Drilling a hole? Brilliant. Done. Thank you!

    Nmca and Nmra are finished.

The best thing Keystone ever did was get away from NHRA. We went to IHRA and now WDRA. So far so good with this new outfit but time will tell.

The little 318 & Racer Brown's quality products

Here is the poop. Stock oem pistons are offset to one side for quiet operation. Minimal gains of a couple to five hp can be had by flipping them. For a street build, it isnt worth it to me taking a chance on cracking a piston on pressed pins to flip them. IIRC engine masters did the piston...

    Fresh carnage!

Thank-you. Lotsa opinions, lotsa minutiae, I have many "strange" things I do in engine prep. What h/p they add individually, prob unmeasurable, but together, they seem to get the job done. Next time I build a gear-drive, 6000+ rpm engine, I'ma gonna drill a hole,. Thnx again, sincerely, luv...

    Nmca and Nmra are finished.

Was just on the phone with Gainesville. No bracket racing in September. Brackets at Night of Fire in October (1 day). None in November or December. "We race starting in January thru September" (even though they missed Sept this year. Oh, and April too for a still unknown reason). "And we...

    72 Dodge Dart Swinger

Definitely on my list of to dos without a question. Adding the pertronix system I know timing needs adjusted. Reading so many posts on FABO last night I’m leaning another direction. Because if the dead peddle at a certain rpm/speed, and learning my carb was molested at some point, I’m...

    Tf 727 modify or not

and a 2800 convertor, and a semi-auto shifter that you can hold to say 5000. and you may need a governor tune-up But if you want to hit 5000, you'll probably need some better valve springs. Why 5000? Cuz on the 1>2 shift from 5000 the Rs will fall to 2950, putting your 318 350 rpm up the...

Hi folks. I'm looking for the short, rear, horizontal track, for a right-hand, 71 Duster door-glass/regulator. It's attached to a square plate and attaches with 1/4-20 bolts. Mine is somewhere in the garage that eats parts, to be never seen again. Thanks, Mike. Metro Detroit.

    Holley Carb ID

WTH why not. It's always interesting to try different carbs and see what they do. I wouldn't pay much for it though you can get one on ebay for 50 bucks. A really beautiful rebuild for 200. It was cool you recognized it for what it was.

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

I don't think I've been so frustrated in a long time; If I were to do this over again, I know I could assemble in half the time. In the pics is the way I was able to "juggle" the back casing with my small crane, or as I call it, my little mule, actually is just a Hoyer lift as used in patient...

@MrJLR....I found something I think is yours.

I just found it interesting that sometimes we find ourselves involved in stuff that we didn't actually participate in. For someone to use a picture of your car in a meme is flattering and a bit spooky. I've reposted memes I saw elsewhere and had some of the memes that I have made copied and...
