Overdrive Transmission for 630 HP motor

    My 70 Charger weighing 4000lbs pulled 12.30s with 3.55s and a 9:1 440 / mild roller / MP template ported 906s and headers. 3.23s and a 727 would work fine. And I imagine you have 28” + tires .

Did I really mess this up? Rough alignment issues (uneven tie rod length) after steering box and spindle replacement

First, Mopars are not "notorius" (sp) for bump steer. Compared to many other muscle cars they have less bump steer. For example, bump steer kits are everywhere for 60's and 70's Mustangs. You don't really see them for Mopars, Hotchkis is the only one that makes something that could be used that...

    Tf 727 modify or not

I guess if it's just for street use, as Murray said to just give it a quality rebuild, a shift kit and a rebuilt converter. A stock stall (appx. 1900 -2200 stall) 67-77 318 converter should work just fine for you. If its performance you're looking for, then that's an other thing. Your posting...

Overdrive Transmission for 630 HP motor

True … if it is for a driver 650 hp and corresponding torque even 3.23s would work .

    HHR Fan???

What kind of amps does it draw? I upgraded to 60 amp alternator and wondering if it’s enough for that fan. Mild 318, led bulbs and basic retro sound radio with dash 4x10 and 2 6x9s.

Overdrive Transmission for 630 HP motor

yes, and overdrive sooo... a 518 or 46RH with probably *checks notes* a JW ultrabell... and all the associated upgrades. i know that around here, 518's and 46RH's are hen's teeth. so once you've factored in the price to obtain a core and then the price of repair components, upgrades and a...

    What hose is this?

It’s not necessary, it allowed heat to be pulled from the manifold into the carb to help it warm up from a cold start / high idle.

Overdrive Transmission for 630 HP motor

I think I read somewhere back in post #1 that he was looking for a Mopar transmission . Plenty of Mopar stuff that can handle it. Back in the 60’s,,,,,Dick Landy was driving an altered wheel base car for Mopar . It had a nitro Hemi in it,,,,and a 727 ! It Worked behind about 1500 HP at the time...

    What hose is this?

Hi all, A quick question from a beginner.. Can anyone tell me what kind of hose this is? And is it a problem (as in can I still drive the car) if it starts to show some small holes? Looking to replace it, but I dont know what to look for at Rockauto for example. TIA guys!

Torsion Bar Upgrade for '65 Barracuda Formula S

I'd go 1.03" and never look back. With radial tires you still wouldn't be oversprung. A 1.03" torsion bar on an A-body works out to about a 215 lb/in wheel rate. Which is in the ballpark for most modern econo-boxes, and lower than most performance oriented cars. A good set of shocks would be...

Overdrive Transmission for 630 HP motor

i think that would fit the bill nicely for what he's trying to do. a 2004R could probably be spec'd out to take the abuse with the bonus that it's a relatively small package comparison wise.
