How much weight can you shave off of an A-Body...and still have it look/drive like an A-Body?

Unfortunately no. It is a bit of a Pig. I have to weigh it but it certainly isn't the lightweight choice. Someday I'd like to put in a full floating quick-change rear. but that isn't in the budget currently. Yeah, good point about the weight balance. There are a lot of other things I can do in...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Thinking im wanting to work on the dart this winter. Front end, brakes all need to be done. I doubt the calipers are any good after 35 years. New rotors, bearings as well. Then its time for a lot, and i mean a lot of metal work. Think i owe you all some A-Body content..

    [WANTED] ISO rear seat-

Shipping a rear seat isn't all that bad . I just had a rear seat ( upper and lower) for a Duster and it was about 68 bucks ( from Missouri to Utah) check out pirateship.com. A lot cheaper shipping through them.

How much weight can you shave off of an A-Body...and still have it look/drive like an A-Body?

Yeah, That sounds very similar to my goals. I'd like to be under 3000# with good handling suspension and A/C. The LS has great heads so it's pretty easy to make good power. I'm probably going to swap in a 5.9 magnum. They are a good package and easy to swap and cheap-ish.

Well both sides have new bushings in and it’s been reassembled. Everything still needs to be tightened up but it’s all back on at this point. Tomorrow the torsion bars will go back in. Along with the brakes and tires.

Mag wheel left and right hand thread lug nut sources

I just ordered a set of oddball Appliance "Roto-Lug" adapters from him. He came highly recommended. Other than the 2" long, open-end ET/Ultra nuts I need for my Minilites, he seems to have just about everything.

I have accepted the fact that my youtube videos are not that great and it takes a lot of time and effort to make a good video, more time than I have. I wish you were closer, then I would be near actual car people instead of being surrounded by low riders and LS swappers. LOL

Cleaned up the remaining leaves and twigs, dumped off and went to town to grab 6 straw bales for the pumphouse. So finished the day with a sense of accomplishment. Will plunk bales tomorrow. Then pick up pellets. Will be near ready for snow.

You’re right, it was 10-12. The spec was 150 inch pounds so 10 the first round and 12 the second, I just had the 15 in my head and was thinking 10 first 15 second but he confirmed it was 12.

    [WANTED] ISO rear seat-

I have the rear out of my 70 Dart in black. Had a new top cap put on the back rest due to sun fading, the rest is in really good shape. It’s just taking up space in my spare bedroom and you can have it for free. I’m in Lakeside, basically east San Diego if you’re interested.

71 Demon Headliner Question - 72 Roof Different?

The outer roof skin is identical. The inner structure of the later cars doesn’t have the tabs needed to hold the roof bows because they used the one piece headliner, but is otherwise the same. The one piece headliners are just held in by the rear view mirror, visors, dome light and rear coat...
