Parts! Bend over AND smile! short rant!

Yeah, I stopped ordering from ROC for that exact reason, plus if you get a defective part it's a pain in da a$$ to replace it.

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Couple of laborers I knew when we worked on the Shuttle complex used to do it on weekends. One of them found a pretty good nugget one weekend and was showing it off at work. He was standing on the launch mount forms before we poured the concrete and he dropped the nugget into the formed area...

    shim the rocker studs????

If you had to raise them that high, something is out of whack. Could be the brand of rockers. That said, the stock rockers are pretty darn good.

    Aftermarket gears?

Also your best bet is to get stock gears, send them out to get WPC, rim polished and cryo treated.

LOL!, I’d post a picture of my partial title but I don’t think that the watermarks would show up.

    shim the rocker studs????

Well I have taken them off and put the oem on it I started this thread cause the only way I could see to correct the geometry would be if the stud was raised higher cause the geometry would be correct if stud were longer. In other words I was asking if anyone had done this before with success???

So very sorry for your loss. All us dog owners know the sadness. B7t he had a good run in a loving family, and the arthritis is now gone.

    Chinesium Strikes Again!

Most vises these days are made for people who don't know which end of a hammer to hold. You did good to get 10 years out of it. Heck, even Wiltons aren't indestructible. This guy has a few videos putting vises to the test --

Dust off your crystal ball and GUESS the horsepower !

Love the plan and shout out to the OP for taking on the project and fellowship of a young budding gear head. But to answer original intent and question my SWAG is a solid 269HP.

    Aftermarket gears?

You should add a clutch tamer. Post 15 is right on the money. If your clutch is setup right and your gearbox is built to stock with stock part you should be able to throw 6-700 HP at it and the stuff that brakes is from the slip yolk back IE u-joints, diff, axels, then those parts should be...

Dust off your crystal ball and GUESS the horsepower !

Just curious.. why a 340 spec cam? Everything the OEM does/did is done with compromises.... lowest cost to build with acceptable power and/or efficiency... have someone spec a better cam.. BTW.. i put .028 compressed thickness head gaskets in my 318, every little bit helps. P.S. i personally...

Dust off your crystal ball and GUESS the horsepower !

You KNOW he'll want the 360 (or 408). Tell him we're putting together a "performance" 318 for now. Once you prove to be a safe, competent, self restraining driver (no tickets, no accidents, no friends in the car, no cellphone use), we'll talk about a hot 360. Meantime, dingle ball the...

Could be either or, but chances are that with a Jan 20 1967 casting date it was destined for a 67 cuda. 68 wasn't until mid way thru the year, July/August.

Holley 1850 fuel transfer tube seals??

1wildrt , yesterday I pulled both the float valves because I was watching a YouTube video stating that sometimes the o-rings that seal them in the bowl leak and can cause flooding so i started second guessing if I missed one, but they were ok as was the float valve itself, I took both the floats...
