Lawd I keep forgetting to mention it's a 75 duster with a slant 6

I'm going to be tackling the dash renovation soon. When I drop the steering wheel, what do I need to be mindful of. I read in the service manual or forum (can't recall) about not forcing it as it will mess with the shifter linkage, etc.. Any tips? I'm a newbie. Thanks :burnout:

Really hoping to avoid pullin the whole cluster out, which is why the sharpie thing intrigued me, but I'll probably do all that when I recover the dash pad. Seen those stickers, but I'm going to try to clean up the woodgrain first.

Sorrrrrry.... 1975 Duster Used the search function and found a guy who suggested using either a paintbrush or a silver sharpie. It's not going to be a 100 point restoration, just a driver.

Anyone done it? Where do I start? :happy1:

I'm about to run a tachometer in the same way you did yours off the column. Where did you run all your wires?

On the inside of my 75 Duster, I'm missing several screws for the upper door panel trim. The part that the sweep attaches to that the locking knob sticks out of. Any idea off the top of your head what size screw that is? It's the little one : ) Thanks! :prayer:

I don't plan on removing the engine (and I wish the folks who had the car before me had cleaned up things when they had it out). So I was wondering what kind of tips you have for cleaning...

I've got a Lucerne blue 75 Duster, and I'm wondering about painting the inside of my Duster emblem letters red to make them pop. I just wondered if anyone else had any thoughts about painting the inside of the emblems? Opinions? :burnout:
