Those were 67's and not worth $1200. The passenger side is the same, but the drivers side is MUCH more restrictive and the wrong casting number as they changed enough of the restriction in the manifold to make a new part entirely. 67 ends in 002 69 ends in 729.

that`s because the fastbacks were made famous by the 426 hemi cars, they didn`t ever come in a coupe ! That's why they are more popular. Even rarer was the two 68 383 form S fastbacks that came out with the 335 horse roadrunner engine , that was downgraded to 330 because of the drivers side...

So what drivers side exhaust manifold was used on these '68 M-codes?...since the rarer than rocking-horse-poo 440 ones didn't come out 'til '69?

There is a chance you have your battery cable routed the wrong way, it should follow the harness to the firewall where it drops through a clip and under the column, no where near the exhaust manifold. (At least it does on the 67) Alan
