Stop in for a cup of coffee

On my ‘69, it’s a hangar that screws onto the fire wall and hangs against that indent...

My 71 has a clip that slips over that pinch weld. I've never seen them for sale though.

Thanks. Looking at some photos from when I first brought the car to NJ, this car didn't have a clip of any sort there. So maybe sixes didn't get them, or this car lost the one it had before I got it. It only had 150 or 250,000 miles on it when I bought it.

The local PD doesn't even enforce traffic laws involving safety. Why would they mess with a Yoda with a fart can and have no meter to write a viable citation?

Now Im curious after Tim posted that link, but Im to lazy to go look at my car... I swear they are a clip style and not screwed on..
LOL. When you get a chance...
I'm searching through FABO right now for pics. I'll start a thread later or tommorrow.
I've also looked through an older Laysons and Year One catalog. I swear I saw a clip on one somewhere. I actually thought I might have one that came from this car. But the photos show clearly there wasn't anything there when I got it.

Yea. Looks like this!

Apparently used in '66...

74 Duster

I know it's a nice looking and reasonably priced hot rod, but I picked it out because of the front bumper. Is that cleaned up look just due to removing the shock abortion mounts? Whole different car without the picnic bench bumper :D

Since you needed to know I went to the garage. I was 50% correct. I have a push on style on the passenger side and a screw in style on the drivers side. Im not entire sure if the passengers side is OE but it was on there when I bought it and looks like it was on for a long time. I can post pics later if you need.

Thanks. I hope it wasn't too cold out there!
On my car, the passenger side is held by welded clips and then the harness runs along the valve cover next to the intake manifold. or maybe its missing another clip?
Time to flip through some old magazines while dozing off...

My harness clips look like what you have posted on #257480
The drivers side firewall is a clip on.
The passenger firewall looks like it bolts in.
Let me know if I can help further.

Car stuff.
Worked a little more on the car today. There's a couple places where the wiring harness had factory supports that are missing on my car. This surely caused some strain on the field wire and the ignition wire. Hey, ignorance was bliss.
Now I'm looking for any information or pic on how the wires were retained, especially the main harness from the firewall to the brake fail switch on the frame rail.
It looks like there should be a coated metal retainer on the firewall-cowl lip. I'm hoping this is a clip on? If so, ever see one for sale?

We worked on the younger kid's 65 wiring today... Got some done, need to do some more...

there's a few wire splices under the dash that I don't like... Just twisted together and not even wrapped in tape, open wires... For sure short if it contacts any metal...

Here's a picture of Eddie's 69 Dart 340 GTS... It looks like the clip was painted, but matches the ones the have been posted...

Interesting. Maybe there was a clip on version and somewhere around '69 they went to the new style.
At least with my current repop harness, it could definately use the support to take the strain off the connector at the ballast.

Eddie's Dart is an early 69 build in the first half of the model year...
