    This is a plug I just installed and removed after a test run. Test drive was about 16 miles at highway speed (60) and 4 wot runs through all three gears. Engine is a 408 10 to 1 comp.     Roller much better. Call a cam company and tell them exactly what you have. If it’s street they can build you a lobe that’s easy on parts. By the time you buy roller rocker you’ll have around 2000.00 dollars in it. Give or take.

    Good luck. I had both done in 2017. Best thing I ever done. Still get a little sore after a hard day but good in the mourning. No constant pain like before. Don’t jump of a tailgate. Ask me how I know.

    I ran a mopar 280 474 cam and changed to the lunati 703 and gained nothing. Then I went to a Hughes solid 237 242 @50 537 542 lift and gained 2.5 tenths. Car was a 68 dart 3550lbs. 9.6 comp. Rpm, 750, headers, 3.55s and 2400 stall. Ran 13.2 and 12.90s with the Hughes cam.

    My buddy has a 493 built close to your build. He was running 4.10s with 28 in tires. Went to 3.73 to keep the rpms down at the stripe. Ran the same times.

    Never had a problem with any crane product. Ran a number of pushrod set with no problem. Always considered crane as top notch quality.

    Going to rework my distributor and start over. I rechecked my timing and things aren't right. Think it has a broken spring or something. Very inconsistent. I'll let you kno×what I find.

    Idle screws are at 7/8 out now. Turning them out makes cruise richen up. Jetted down 4 sizes in front and still super rich at cruise and wot.

    Already blocked the middle e hole. The others are .028 but I have 26s I'll put in. I think my timing is ok. 22 at idle. 34 WOT and 50 cruise. I can make the t slot restrictors I have blanks to drill. Thanks for the info. I'm learning.

    Sorry. I meantt an additional 1/4 turn. They are at about 7/8 out. Initial timing is 22 and 34 total with 50 at cruise. When I richen the idle the cruise goes richer also.

    Ifr are .032. yes the idle screws will richen the idle. I will work on the primary jets and pvcr. Idle will be easy. Thanks everone.

    How do I lean out the cruise and richen the idle. Bought an afr gauge and the results surprised me. Reading 10.8 at WOT, 11.8 cruise and 15.0 at idle. Box stock proform 750 dp. 3 emulsion blocks all open. 74 an#80 jets. IABs .070 and hsab .028. So plugged the center emulsion other two are .028...

    340 Camshaft

    Your engine is very close to my old 340. Stock 340 long block with rpm intake, headers, 750 dp and mopar 280 474 cam. With 3.55s, 2400 stall and drag radials it ran 13.15 at 102 at 3550 lbs. Can't get that cam now, but a comp 280 magnum or 280 purple plus would work fine.

    Am I Going To Be Happy With This Camshaft?

    Had that cam in a 9 to 1 318 with stock 360 heads. It was a little soft on the bottom end with the stock converter but still ran 14.0 at 101 with 3.55 open rear at 3500 lbs. It should work great in a 10 to 1 340.
