Finally get to pretend I am one of the cool kids - Holley kit swap

Easiest quickest solution. Agree with use of copper as a backer. I buy copper pipe from local hardware store, slice it, open it up, and hammer flat. Cheap, works great.

Finally get to pretend I am one of the cool kids - Holley kit swap

I would hammer dolly inner fender in and move forward with build and sleep on what if anything else to change/modify. A lot of times punting sleeping on it circling back you gain a better perspective over time.

    Which Water pump?

Put a a Flow Kooler on my small block stroker aluminum heads. Its been on there for 15 years now lots of high RPM pulls. Recored 3 row original radiator (factory AC car), mopar performance clutch fan, high flow thermostat. I can sit in traffic with AC on in 100 degree heat no problem at all.

    Paint Matching for Rookies

If one mix came out too light and one too dark maybe mix up a cup of 50/50 each and do a test spray out? Agree will need to blend into doors but looks like a better match is needed first. I been told white, grey, or black primer underneath can influence it slightly.

    Paint gun for hobbiest?

One thing I think is worth mentioning is make sure you have high flow air hose couplings. Otherwise paint gun won't get enough volume to atomize the paint and end up with rough texture. I have done several cars for my kids and I do all the rust dent repair, body work, block sanding and get the...
