So work got in the way of working on the Duster again. But, I was able to do some work this weekend. I thought I made an awesome score of a used 22" shroud here in Sweden. Well, not so much. The shroud started to sag, I did some reading here on FABO and read that people had a lot of problems...

Today I drained the oil out of the transmission, took the pan down and installed a steel core silicone rubber gasket from Moroso. Lets hope it will do the trick.

Thanks Mat. My pan is not one of those deep one's, but I have been thinking I should get one of those, so I might just do that. Is it a no, no to put a thin coat of rtv on the pan gasket?

Thanks. I did the sandpaper and flat surface today, paper gasket and regular rtv was what I had. I think that one of the bolts bottomed out (stupid mistake on my behalf). But that is now fixed. Will let it cure overnight.

Just wanted to say thanks for the ideas. The problem is solved. I put a washer between the bracket and the pump. It made a better seal.
