    [FOR SALE] 340/mag360 exhaust manifolds

...plate had been just 1/8" thicker I would have had to cut on the passenger's side. As it was I had to remove (cut off) an unneeded ear from the 2004R to clear the cross member on the passenger's side for it to clear. Also in the pics you can see the header gasket ( between the down pipe...

    MA5 5-speed to 5.7 hemi?

...paddle shifted with an engine braking valvebody, A500/A518 auto OD's, Tremec swaps from every conversion shop on the planet, lastly was the GM 2004r. So, of all of these options I've looked at(for years), which one do you believe I should put in my car? I feel like people aren't actually...

    340 buildup advice

Wilcap and tci sell the adaptor (though you have to trim the tci adaptor to fit) and you jus have to mod the bolt in cross member.

    lokar kick down

I've only heard of that piece breaking once before. I like the kit a lot but agree they shoulda made that piece out of something more substantial.

    200-R4 transmission behind mopar stroker

The 4l80-e was based on a turbo 400, 4l60-e replaced the turbo 350, 2004r replaced the metric 200. All gm's way of making gas mileage. I have built all the od's for street and all out racing with great results. Art carr has the best name in the industry for the 2004r but is very expensive...

    408 stroker and 200R4 ... it's alive!

Nice! I've been following your build thread closely since I'm very interested in going with a 2004R behind my 360. Very interested to see what kind of RPM drop you get in OD. When I first talked to Art about this several years ago I told him I wanted a reverse pattern manual shift and he...

    Kickdown cable recommendations?

So Lokar is using a plastic adapter to hook the cable to the carb now? Mine is aluminum, but I bought it 3-4 yrs. ago, maybe they've changed? Even yet plastic (or variations of such) are used in all sorts of industrial applications nowadays. "Regular" plastic like we had in the early days that...

Will GM 200r4 work with factory floor shift location?

...doesn't flex when I shift gears. This upper rod end will allow me to cut the lower part of the torque shaft as short as necessary to clear the 2004R housing. Now I feel very confident about keeping the original shifter and linkage. I really didn't want to buy and install a cable shift and put...

    200-R4 transmission behind mopar stroker

So can you build a sout 200 to hold up to over 700hp and tq? The car is a street/strip car so Tc is key here.. I live 70 miles from the closest track but if i had a 200 that would last I'd like to drive my car there and back.. but most of the driving would be on the street. PM me what you can...

Will GM 200r4 work with factory floor shift location?

In answer to your Do I need question: Also get: Shift kit all bushings and bearings (make sure pump bushing is teflon coated <same as 700R4), Both the Low roller clutch assembly and the Overdrive Roller clutch assembly. Replace the electrical switches (except the lockup solenoid, as you're...

    The decision is made

I''m going to put a 2004r together for my 71 Dart. I never new there was an adapter like that. This changes my mind on the 500 trans. I build these transmissions for a living and put a few 10 second grand nationals on the track back in the day. I've never had one blow up but had a handful of...

    200R4 update

The Wilcap is nice, but it's more than that. I am also swapping to a 2004R and ordered the Wilcap kit. The $550 is for a neutral balance kit, but they charge $100 extra to build flex plate for an external balance 360.

    * THE 2004R WITH THAT APPLICATION AND POWER IS AT ITS LIMITS .. HOWEVER WE DO HAVE A NEW IMPROVED 265R4.. WICH IS THE SAME TRANS WITH EVEN BETTER PARTS THAN OUR LEVEL 3... **Anybody use the 727 Specialist**

Well I can see that you are making some serious power!! I might be changing my mind on the trans and possibly going with a 2004R Built by Art Carr. The price is similar to an all out 727 Build and you get an OD too. He says they will live to 1000+ HP but I need to get him on the phone and pick...

    Anybody Running a 4L60?

Im just thinking the 4l60 because I have one already, and I have one already lol The 2004R probably wouldnt be a bad idea, i know they can take the power for sure if build right. I'm just thinking, being that I have a 4l60 already I can save myself some dough. Either way Im looking at a custom...

    Anybody Running a 4L60?

If you are looking for something smaller sized use the 2004R. This is the trans Buick put in the Grand Nationals and T Type Regals. They are stronger than the 700R4 and just as strong as the L60. But being an old GM guy I wouldn't use any of their trannys. They are not good. I used to put...
