I have several 8 and one quarter axles. My 73 satellite My 87 5th Ave parts car A 1997 Dakota axle that was part o fa parts trade. The Dak axle has 3.55 gears. Will those work in either of the other housings?

I found an AHB cop car in a salvage yard. Will the 8 1/4 axle fit in an A body that has restrictive wheel wells, like a 64-66 Barracuda, or a 67-74 Dart (non sport)?
