1990 360 engine, trying to retrofit it to use a mechanical fuel pump.

The one Hughes sent me had an even smaller chunk of aluminum as shown in the picture... I told Hughes that I wanted the long nose cam and was willing to wait until they had one in stock, instead those bastards sent me a short nose cam and the hokey nose extension so they could charge me the...

Agreed, Unless your building for a highly competitive class and money is no object, like I think it was Super Stock Hemi's where they sink like 20+ grand in labor per head to gain 600 rpms for better shift points. There's tons of easier low hanging fruit to make power especially these day.

Street/Strip Crankcase Vacuum using a PCV Valve

I use the 2 , 3/8'' vacuum nipples sticking out the back of my 1200 cfm throttle body , have a separator , then a rigged 1/4'' plastic ball valve , "was originally for a kidney dialysis system", to adjust the vacuum , then to the pass. side cover . haven't got any oil in the separator , and...

Considering Holley sniper EFI for my 1969 340. Thoughts from people who have that set up?

There are several ways to skin a cat when it comes to fuel systems. I used a surge tank system, which has some significant benefits not the least of which is providing virtually air free fuel delivery at very low fuel levels even as low as a gallon or two under spirited road course driving. The...

    Front windshield

What car are you talking about? The 1967 Barracuda? Who is using this terminology? I suspect they are both talking about the same thing, using different words. On the windshield of a 1967 Barracuda fastback or notchback (convertibles are different), you have a rubber seal (also called a window...

[WANTED] Aftermarket wheels, 17" (maybe 18) BBP

I'm thinking I may end up that route. The Dusters have such different tracks that anything else will be limited on fit and/or look incredibly weird. I'm very uncomfortable with spacers. Currently has what look like stock Rally wheels, 14" front, 15" rear. Not sure the offset, but looks...

    [WANTED] Small Block Bell housing

3 or 4 speed? Slant 6 or small block? Just so you know, '66 and earlier A bodies use a 9 1/2" clutch. If you're upgrading to the later 10 1/2" clutch, you'll need a special pivot mount and modified torque shaft to make it work. Available from Brewer's. 1963-66 A-BODY TORQUE SHAFT 10.5"...

Believe it or not that pin striping style used to be very popular...but it's not for me either...but for this ride it fits right in.

    What’s this called

That is all one piece with the rear interior panel — one plastic piece from the quarter glass down to the floor, with a built-in arm rest. The duct tape is covering up what should be the door seal.

Another part of it for me is……..I have to be able to actually complete the job and supply the finished heads to the customer. So, I look at how much time can be invested and still get paid for all of it.

I'm not interested in the 1s and 2s either. But at this point I've learned that to get to 10 I have to add 1+2+1+2+2+1+1. Thanks.

Think of it this way. Some turns into the chamber are Martinsville and some are Talledega. You are not going to drive into both turns the same way.

I take my hat off to you. You’ve spent waaaaaay more time trying to sort out that head/port configuration than I’ve spent on any one type of head. I’ve said it before, but I’ll repeat it here……. I like getting the most amount of gain, for the least amount of work. I’m not interested in chasing...

    Breather blow by

I noticed today that the passenger side valve cover breather is smoking after a good drive. I did add a baffled breather to the second vent next to the master cylinder on driver side. Three breathers in total. Is this too much? What other info is needed to narrow down a solution?

While I'm at it, might as well bag up those extra chicken breasts. The vacuum sealer does work good for that. I use it for ground beef and veggies in the summer as well.

Probably. Compare the overall dimensions to those listed for the newer tank. Different fuel level sender and location. There may be subtle differences to deal with.

You are correct that most porters assign a certain % to a throat size. That is because it is quite difficult and time consuming to find what works then to manufacture it, especially if bottom cuts are not concentric with the valve seat and top cut. The purpose of the bottom cuts and blending...

    TTI Shorties on Early A?

I put Sanderson shorty's on my 66 Dart with a 5.9 Magnum, out of a 98 dodge pickup, and had to clearance one tube on the drivers side that was hitting the power steering gear. Other that that they worked fine. I eventually installed a Borgeson power steering gear and had plenty of header clearance.

Considering Holley sniper EFI for my 1969 340. Thoughts from people who have that set up?

Start with the fuel system. Check to see if you can buy a complete EFI tank with build in fuel pump for your make and model. If you have a late model Barracuda you shouldn't have any issues, the early ones might be a problem. I wouldn't buy a Sniper until you know that you can buy a tank with an...

There are a lot of things I would love to try on the dyno. Unfortunately, after you make the change to the port 8 times, there is still a lot more work to do to run the test. Quite time consuming.

Street/Strip Crankcase Vacuum using a PCV Valve

Sorry to drag up a really old thread. This is a very creative solution. I have been considering doing something like this but with a vacuum/ catch can and pluming it to both the pvc/intake manifold and the exhaust-powered E-vacs so in theory when manifold vac goes down, the evacs kick in. Just...
