    Getting good lobes from Comp is easy, You just have to know what to ask for, they can grind one that has .903 specific ramps that require valve springs You could pull the ole' Valli up on w/o coil binding them....the question still remains, what will happen to the pump gear....?....

    Read the list twice and didn't see what heads. I'd run a double pumper. Is this "feeling" off the seat of your pants test drive? No way for us to know if it's in the ballpark or not without knowing something about how you determine slow.

    They are more than strong enough for most builds, & the huge crank is lighter in cast than forged, and cast cranks are more rigid(less flex from a long crank).

    my opinion I don't like the cam and rear end gear ratio mix. Put a set of 391s in the butt and release the beast.. it'll be a whole different ball game.

    Is a 2500 stall correct for your cam, gearing, tire size, and weight? Also, you may want to calculate the exhaust diameter needed for what you have. I calculated out 2.5" is best for scavenging for my 360 with my promaxx cnc 185 heads, Doug's headers and h pipe. What do your heads flow? I did...

    Another item that should've been pointed out, use any RTV sparingly on the 2 pan screws that go into the retainer, too much can actually cause a hydraulic blow-out of the casting when You run the screws in tight.

    Do you know the piston/cylinder wall clearance? Was the cam degreed in? Why do you have 3.23 gears with that cam? How tall are the rear tires? Car weight going down the road? What cylinder heads? What rpm do you run it up to?
