    Eagle Scout Project Help

I built a 10 by 20 picnic pavilion at our local park. Building it was easy, getting the materials, which amounted to over $4000, was a little tricky. Don't bother going to Home Depot if your going to build something, they don't support the Boy Scouts, shame. Good luck and stick with it.

    Motive gears?

Hey guys, Looking at a set of motive 3.73's to put in a 741 suregrip case. I seem to be reading mixed reviews on these gears as far as being hard to set up, noisy, etc. The price is right, but I don't want to have a ton of installation problems or noise.... Thanks for any input! -Paul

Looking for a decent mig welder - Cheap

Hobart 140 is definitly one of the best 110 welders out there. Tractor supply just had a sale with the regulator for $449. I got a hobart 135, the older 140, and its nice for a 110 machine. Just make sure ya got a 20 amp outlet.

    Poly 318 rebuild progress

Nice motor, I have a almost identical set up in my 66 Fury, just a bit more cam and the Weiand intake. I would much rather have your cast iron 4 bbl intake though, the weiand takes alot off the bottom end. Just out of curiosity, what will you be running for a stall converter and gears?

Replacing engine without removing the tranny?

If leaving trans in, best way I have found is to get a load leveler. Then I take some threaded rod and cut it 2 or 3 inches long and grind a point on the end. I make two of these and thread them into the bellhousing to make a guide for the motor to slide in on. Put motors in by myself with this...

Regarding LOKAR throttle wires. Help please?

Yeah, they only come separate. Sorry I wasn't clear, but I would get the 24" throttle cable, 904 kickdown cable, and the return spring bracket which comes with two springs. I recommend the "hi-tech" braided stainless cables, they look sweet!

Regarding LOKAR throttle wires. Help please?

like pettybludart said, get the whole kit with the throttle cable, kickdown, and return spring bracket. They look great and are easy to install. All of the previous linkage can be removed, as non is used for the lokar kit. Just be careful cutting the braided line and it frays very easily.

    318 poly in 68 cuda

I would listen to these other guys, I just spent 3500 on a poly for my 66 fury. Camcraft cam, Bumped up compression to 9.5, the weiand 4 bbl, shorty headers. It runs good and it goes good for what it is, but it was also original to the car. I wouldn't build another one. Get an LA, they are cheep...
