    MS3 , Multiport & turbo build

so I just noticed I haven't updated this in over a year. thanks to TT5.9mag. I am in the process of deciding which short block will be replacing the ever leaking cast crank short block in the car ( block was cracked when I started this - froze with water in it is my guess ). I didn't know it...

pretty sure the Chevy Cobalt runs 10 to 1 and way more than 8psi boost. the higher the compression you start with or the higher the boost you run the better your tune needs to be.

Thinking about turbo on my/6 again...

with that low of boost and wanting to run it NA first, a torquestorm supercharger. then you wouldnt have to redo the exhaust. most turbo's are not meant for draw through ( plenty of people do it ). if I didnt want higher boost levels thats what I would have done.

    Big block oiling mods

with my SR's I tapped the backside of the fitting of the head and put a restrictor in it. cant remember what size it was ( i think I drilled it to .125" ) ran a single line external pick up. drilled out the passage from the lift feed to the mains to 9/32 and 5/16 on #4. there use to be a...

Adjustable strut rods and other parts

have a couple sets of the RMS strut rods. been very happy with them. if I were to do it again I would probably go Delrin on the lower arm bushings with greasable pins. haven't had a single issue with either set of poly bushings.

Maximum Performance N/A 383 build. Input wanted from engine gurus.

if I were determined to run the 383 block, I would be stroking it and running at least a set of trick flow 240's. that would get you a better lighter piston, some needed extra cubes and lighten things up some

How strong is a T-5 transmission?

I will probably go Hydraulic, that 3" downpipe off the turbo will most likely be in the way. plus I dont think I have any of the original Z bar parts.

How strong is a T-5 transmission?

I would probably look at something like the Ram clutch set they had on .org in a group buy a while back.

How strong is a T-5 transmission?

well thats a shame, an SFI bell would be nice. If I decide to pull off that swap I guess I will just have to use the Gill Welding adapter I have and be nice to the clutch LOL
