Are you guys with the VS 7875 running an oil restrictor? The old eBay 7875 had one on it and I never had any issues and I have a fat return line but I’m reading conflicting info about the VS turbos. I have a stock volume oil pump. @turbovan ?

Made a sturdy bracket out of 1/4” plate today. My welds are crude but my v-bands and everything lined up perfectly.

Made progress in finishing the hot side. Mocking up the downpipe now. I think I’m going to have to bend it a bit with pie cuts to move it away from the plug wires.

Looking for some lightweight wheels 15x10 with about a 5” backspace 5x4.5 bolt pattern. I’d like some Cragar Super Tricks or Centerline Autodrags or similar. They don’t need to be perfect, just straight and hold air. Thanks!

Not sure what your long term goals are but I’d advise you to scope out your fuel system to handle more boost then what you initially intend. Big injectors, plenty of pump (I run 2x AEM 400s) 8AN feed and return lines and a sumped fuel cell. If you have access to E85, run it.

I’m using Denso 5.3 GM Flex 80lb de capped injectors on my turbo 5.9. They take an EV6 type connector. They were pretty affordable when I bought them several years ago. Like $300

Drives great on the street. No issues.

Semi fenderwell. I ran them. There used to be a sticky on them. Clearance isn’t bad, installation requires significant butchery of inner fenderwells. I got a way with smaller cuts but you have to pull the engine to get away with that. I had a bunch of pics in the sticky thread.

50mm. Yeah I like the idea of being able to control boost from the lightest spring pressure to infinity.

I might try both just to see how back pressure responds. Got a new WG to add to the mix also. Thinking about controlling boost with dome pressure at some point in the future.

These Early A bodies don’t have the luxury of extra under hood space like you guys. :)

Got the new turbo tacked in place where I want it. Now the fun part begins connecting the foot bone to the ankle bone to the knee bone.

It’s interesting that he’s data logging crankcase pressure also. I’m curious to see where he takes that measurement and what’s considered acceptable pressure. Said he was seeing 1psi of crank pressures at 18psi on the turbo.

That’s the idea. I have the room since I went to coilover suspension and got rid of the torsion bars. Probably not 4” to the back bumper. Just something like header length for now to the torsion bar crossmember.

I’ve thought about that but I have the block hugger header and the hot side pipe that travels in that same area.
