    what is this?

:happy3: Wow!!! You must be really young. 260 a/c, is 2 vent windows open @ 60 MPH. A/C in the 60s and 70s was uncommon, for most of us. So we did with what we had. The vent doors, could blow out all sorts of junk, and keep the brew handy when thirsty.

Anyone know anything about flathead 6 engines?

My brother had a 48 Chrysler Windsor Highlander with the straight six. Great cruiser as longer as you drove it 60-65 mph. The engines were also used as industrial and agricultural. When my brother sold it, a farmer put the engine in his Massey-Harris 55 row crop tractor. It was a straight bolt...

Is it possible to drive a car 50 miles with a bad lower control arm

If the brake pedal feels like it is pulsating, then I would check to see if the rotor is warped. That should have been caught when replacing the pads.

Whats my best carb with little work and good performance?

The word "always" tends to light a candle on some people's butt. I have had decent results with an Edelbrock or Carter AFB carbs. Also I recently purchased a rebuilt Thermoquad 850 to put on my Dodge D100. JMHO:hiding:

    65 'Cuda: Reverse thread wheels?!

It was the Mopar engineers that finally gave up on the LH thread for the left side of the car. I worked for Firestone in 1972, and we replaced a lot of studs that were broken off by forgetting the LH thread pattern.

    My car at yesterdays show

An unrestored car is a great find!! The jerk in the Chevy was jealous, sounds like you had some fun. 56 Chevies are a dime a dozen, you always see plenty at car shows. On the other hand a car like yours, is seldom seen. Glad you were successful at irritating that jerk!!

I have converted! So heres my questions.

Here's a link to the early hemis: http://www.hemihaines.com/Early-Hemi-Engines-6-146.html You might find it to be a money pit, as early engines aren't as common today. Expect to be spending some serious cash. Somebody here can probably give you an idea of what it might cost to rebuild one...

    Our 2010 Ram rear-ended badly!!!

If your wife has pain, do not refuse medical attention. Whiplash effects might not be noticed for several days. Also DON'T sign any claim forms by his insurance company. My wife was riding a bicycle through an intersection, when a driver in a pick up truck ran a stop sign. It threw her 30...

    Increase HP/ Performance?

First things that come to mind is the distributor. I would take the distributor to a quality shop that can recurve the vacuum advance. Second check out your plug wires, and ensure that they are indeed getting spark to the plugs. Check your spark plugs, to see if they are not oil fouled or...

Any ides on what this is worth?

Atlantic Speed sells theirs on FleaBay for $349.99 http://www.atlanticspeed.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=7693 You could use that as a starting point, since Edelbrock still makes them, I don't know if they're worth a big premium over the new ones. Nice survivor looks to be in great...

    PRW stainless roller rockers

Thanks fcm42000. I was lucky getting a good set. Don't have any other experience with KMJ other than the one purchase. I think that they do use other user names on Ebay, as I purchased a ProComp air gap intake and all the seller info was the same address, etc. So they do have some issues, such...

    PRW stainless roller rockers

I bought a set of PRW rollers off EBay from KMJ performance. They have bronze bushings, and come with a push rod sizing tool. No tags saying made in USA or China. I will find out soon if they were the right choice. They have the cup end so the push rods to be used are the original style. The...

    streetable or not streetable?

:burnout:Any trips on a road that are longer than either 1/8th or 1/4 mile at a time is streetable. When you pull up to a stoplight and it goes from red to green then yellow and red, that is streetable:iconbigg:
