I have an old 5 gallon can of Wurth chlorinated brake cleaner and a pump sprayer. Fantastic stuff. I don’t think they make it any more.

[WANTED] 70 Swinger Cigarette Lighter/Socket Assembly for Rallye Dash

Can you post a pic of the headlight or wiper switches? I have a container of switches and knobs and did stray to the dark side (70 340 Swingers) from my 69s a few years ago. I’m in northern BC.

    69 M-code question

I guess i’ll add it to the list. I wonder why they would do that, to me it looks strange.

    69 M-code question

I don’t think so either but most of the pictures that I have found of “restored” engines have painted valve covers with a chrome breather. I’m painting my engine today, not that I’m a stickler but I want it to look right. I have a nice black breather but thought I should look for a chrome one.

    69 M-code question

Not chrome valve covers, just the filler cap/breather.

    69 M-code question

I know the 69 M-code GTS/Cuda had painted valve covers rather than chrome but most of the restored cars that I see have a chrome breather/filler cap. Is that correct? Looks weird to me.

Yup, that’s what I’m thinking. Thanks everybody.

    440 rockers

It’s been a few years but if I remember right you could easily catch your finger nail on them. I’m going to dig them out again tomorrow.

    440 rockers

I have the thick felpro gaskets that space them up a bit but they seem to hit the side of the valve cover as much as the baffles.

    440 rockers

I’m building a 69 440 for my 69 GTS, it’s going to be stealthy with as much aluminum as I can find and some other goodies. 69 block, factory steel crank, Stealth heads, CH4B intake, aluminum water pump and housing, .528/284 MP cam, AVS2 800 CFM. I had bought Comp cromoly rockers years ago but...

    [WANTED] GT trim

Im thinking a piece of 4” PVC might do maybe. I jotted down your email because they’ll delete it. I also have a set of inside door emblems, I had 2 sets but I sold one set last summer. I let the guy pick the best set so the leftovers are what I have, but they are at my sisters in Edmonton.

    [WANTED] GT trim

Sorry, I was being sarcastic because I had no idea where you lived, I’m never anywhere close to anybody who needs stuff. I’ll get you some pictures first. I believe on some of it somebody put masking tape that glued itself to the anodized part which should dissolve with the right cleaner.

    [WANTED] GT trim

I’ve got a set and a half minus one of the front spears that I would give you, but pick up only.

[WANTED] 69 big block valve covers stock

A-body? The A-body drivers side is different than the B-body and has guides for a spark plug wire because of the manifold outlet.

[WANTED] 383 fan shroud and spacer

When I was looking for one I found that they were used in different applications going back to the early 60s, that's why it has such an early part number. I had factory parts books back to 62 but sold them so I’m not sure what used them, but some research in that direction might help.

    727 converter choice

The nearest race track is 4 hours away so my main concern would be getting it to the track rather than ET. I installed a factory high stall when I built the transmission, are they loose enough for a .528?

    727 converter choice

I have an M-code GTS that I’m building an engine for, and I’m trying to figure out a decent torque converter. The engine is a 69 440 HP, factory steel crank and connecting rods, KB237 .030 pistons with Stealth heads, Mopar Performance .528/284* camshaft, roller rockers, aluminum water pump and...

They will interchange, the bearing style is the heavy duty type to handle the weight.

    [SOLD] Manual Steering Box

Wrong. Slant A-bodies used a bushing on the lower shaft, V8 cars used a bearing.

    My 1969 1/2 440 ‘cuda

It seems like a lot of M-codes came with rears only. My M-code GTS only has rears. Interesting about the number 63 on the inner fenders. I wonder if the GTS had the same, my GTS is unrestored but I’ve never looked for that.

    [WANTED] 1853021 fan spacer

I had a slightly longer original machined down for my M-code GTS. 68 and 69 big block used a .90 spacer but the different shroud on the 67 must need a shorter spacer. I have a few spacers, I’ll take a look.
