After a bunch of shake down runs I wasn't happy with rpm vs mph ( 2900-3000 @ 50 mph ) , 3/70 gears in the 9" are great for hole launch & fun factor but overall drive ability/ fuel consumption/ constant higher rpm's on the BB not so good. Ordered a set of 3/25's and installed them now ready for...

We took the Dart to its first cruise night . Not a big turn out but decent. On the way home the volt meter all of a sudden went from 14.5 volts down to 11 volts . Once we got home took a quick look , battery was down in charge /belts seemed to have right tension / no wires melted from heat or...

    Master cylinder/booster on 440 Duster

Machine man has a good point. I have a 440 in a 69 Dart and used an Eci kit which uses just a manual master cyclinder . The front are disc brakes and rear are 11 1/4" drum brakes which work fine . One thing I would change is the master cylinder to a Dakota style master that utilize a plastic...

Master restorer is a guy named Cory Harrison from Woodville ( with a partner just purchased Thompson & Hartle Autobody of Fenelon Falls). Hopefully he doesn't trash Thompson and Hartle's good reputation. ( I apprenticed there for 3 yrs out of high school).

Dealing with a huge set back right now with the paint on the Dart. To sum up what has transpired since I got the Dart back : spent a year and a bit trying to find the right person originally to do the final block sand / paint ( approximately 80-100 hrs of time to finish including spraying/...

When I reassembled the Dart I bought a new E brake handle due the old one being fairly rough. A couple weeks back I was setting up the e brakes and when I pulled on the handle it broke at the set pin . So I asked my son Nic to machine a new one out of aluminum. Turned out awesome. Top handle...

Seeing all the pictures you've posted i still think its totally repairable and would be as good or better than before imo . Worth saving without a doubt.
