    Mopar 340 intake gasket replacement

Ok I think I figured it out. The intake I bought ( edelbrock air ram dual plane) doesn’t have the heat cross over. I should be able to just put the intake on without blocking them off. Does this sound right?

    Mopar 340 intake gasket replacement

Yes. I read somewhere that they need to left open because it is a barrier to keep the heat from the cross over from adversely affecting the adjacent x ports. It also says they need to be open for air to circulate. Thoughts?

    Mopar 340 intake gasket replacement

I ended up ordering two different gaskets. One with the hole for the cross over and one without. The one without does not have the cut out for the u-shape hole. Which should I use? And what are the four round pieces in the picture with the gasket with the hole?

    Mopar 340 intake gasket replacement

Hi guys, I have a 340 that I’m replacing the intake gasket on. I’m wondering if I should use the front and back corked gaskets that come with or just use RTV. Also as this is my first time doing this I was wondering if someone has a link to a video I can watch on how to do this. I’m a very...

    727 transmission rebuild

So I did some calling around to other shops. The price range for a complete build with new torque converter is between $1000-$1300. That was with them taking it out and putting it back in. I wanted to use my local transmission shop but withe the price difference its a no brainer.

    727 transmission rebuild

Well I asked him last year what it would cost to have him remove and rebuild transmission and install. He said $1000. I asked how much I would save if I pulled tranny and installed myself. He said it would save me $300.

    73 dart brake problems

Ya so I figured out the problem. It wasn't my son after all. It turns out that the rear brake hose has a hole in it and leaks fluid. I replaced both front brake hoses and I could not get the hose separated from the line, it was rusted on. I tried wd-40 and a torch but nothing. I ended up having...

Mopar small block fan routing diagram

After looking at the picture diymirage provided I agree the w/p pulley doesn't look right. It looks like it should sit back further. Is that a spacer I see on the p/s pump?

That could be it. I had my 13 year old boy pumping on the brakes while I was bleeding the brakes. Do I bleed the master cylinder then bleed the brakes? And if so how do I go about bleeding the master cylinder on the vehicle?

Mopar small block fan routing diagram

I have a 340 that I put in my 73 dart and I am not sure on the belt diagram for it. I do not have AC. I believe it would be two belts One for the alternator and one for the power steering pump. But I'm not sure of the diagram on either one or the belt sizes. I have gotten several belts from my...
