You can't kill Imron paint. Painted my Ragtop in 1985 with it. Still shined living outside until I restored it in 2020. Now the PPG single stage paint fades each year. Constantly buffing polishing or waxing. My hardtop PPG Base / clear. Shines awesome. Never fades. 10 years in. Ragtop before resto.

I agree. I loved painting my 56 Ford F-100 in my dad's garage as a kid. Then was a body man 20 years. Finally had enough and changed careers at 42. Didn't touch my tools for 4 years. I then restored my 2 rides and found it very enjoyable.

Took me 8 years to build my Hardtop. Never took money from my paycheck. Did side jobs. Fixed and sold lawn mowers and snow Blowers, Small collision work, Struts and brake jobs. Sold my Dakota and drove a shitbox and whatever else I could wheel and deal.

I like it. I would still put some grease on it to catch anything that still might fall back in.

I just replaced my starter relay this past spring. Same issue. Turned out to be my positive terminal at battery which I cleaned posts and terminals. My fault for using cheap replacement terminals.

I fill, run, turn all the way in both directions, shut off and let sit 5 minutes to let air bubbles and or foam to subside. Top off and repeat.

I have an old one on wheels that I pulled off the curb on trash day 30 years ago. Still works awesome. The timer doesn't work so you have to pay attention.
