What is this? '75 Dart Swinger

Well... I felt something was missing from there... Im actually sure that is what the bump shook off, because up until this point the car has driven phenomenally, though its use is extremely limited. To be honest the entire suspension needs an overhaul, bushings are all old, and either crushed...

What is this? '75 Dart Swinger

Google has failed me with this car, yet again. Was taking the '75 Dart around for a spin, hit a bump, and a god awful "squeaking" sound has ensued. Thought it was a strut or control arm, but nope. This little knob is hitting up against the frame. Can anybody identify it? Just need a name to know...

75 Dart Swinger Transmission to Radiator lines wont come off

MAP torch? Because that's what I'm gonna use. Thanks, I don't know why this thought process didnt occur to me. Does the big nut unscrew seperately from the plug screw? I can't get that figured out. I'd cut it if could. Tried that, it's either turning the whole line, or both the plug and the...

Fuel Gauge wiring (rewiring to fuel cell)

Well, I looked and did some tinkering. Im just going to run another gauge off the dash that will work, and remove the original. This cell wont work. And since the trunk is already cut out, with new metal and braces welded in, and the cell bolted down, it makes more sense to run a gauge that the...

Fuel Gauge wiring (rewiring to fuel cell)

Dang. Sooooo, could I wire in another gauge cluster off of the fuel cell instead? Id just find one that fits where the original is and replace it. Because that seems more reasonable. I've "frankensteined" most of this car anyway, so if thats an easier route it'd fit my current method rather...

Fuel Gauge wiring (rewiring to fuel cell)

I just went back to the site the fuel cell was purchased from. Ots a 0-90 ohm fuel sender. So Im assuming itll work with this car. Im trying/testing it now. Thanks guys, very helpful

Fuel Gauge wiring (rewiring to fuel cell)

One wire on the fuel cell is a ground, the other is the power. Im assuming the blue (and only wire) is the original gas gauge's/power, because theres a metal clip at the end by where the original fuel rail is that was the original ground... Im checking resistance here shortly.

Fuel Gauge wiring (rewiring to fuel cell)

Hmmmm, I will check. But no, it did not come with instructions, everything was pretty straight-forward with it up until this point. When it comes to electrical related work, I am not a clever man.

Fuel Gauge wiring (rewiring to fuel cell)

So, my question is basically whether I should tie these wires on my fuel cell (theyre for the built in level sender) into the blue (wiring diagram I pulled up said that it was for the gas gauge, and if it would work... Or should I get the corresponding female piece for whats on the wires for the...

[WANTED] 1975 Dodge Dart Single Barrel Carburetor (225 Slant 6 motor)

Unfortunately, none of those are quite right. The 1st is close, except the housing for the bowl is on the side on that one, and on the 1945 model its stacked in between the main body and bottom piece of the carb that bolts to the motor.

    Snapped Emulsion Tube 1975 Dart

I didnt read that correctly earlier. My friend decided to "help" with reassembly, even though they werent present for the taking apart of the carburetor. I went to go handle some errands and when I came back to it, I attempted to reassemble everything and the tube fell off as soon as I grabbed...

    Snapped Emulsion Tube 1975 Dart

Thank you, I just posted an ad. Yes its the one barrel. Hopefully I get a response. Id try to find a motor but the one in it is the original, and has less than 94k miles on it, so I was gonna just rebuild the motor for the sake of saying "its the cars original motor". Haha.I t also runs well...

[WANTED] 1975 Dodge Dart Single Barrel Carburetor (225 Slant 6 motor)

Looking for the Holley 1945 R7018 Single Barrel Carburetor off of the 1975 Dodge Dart Swinger with the 225 Slant 6 motor. Automatic engine. Broke the Main well tube when trying to rebuild it, so need a new carb since that piece is impossible to find outside of a carburetor.

    Snapped Emulsion Tube 1975 Dart

Its off of the 225 motor. The slant six. I bought a rebuild kit but it only came with gaskets, pressure bead, etc. It didnt come with the power valve, accelerator pump spring, nor the tube that I broke. Thats why I had it off the car was to redo the carburetaor myself, but the tube broke off at...

    Snapped Emulsion Tube 1975 Dart

The tube in the photo above. (Main well tube/emulsion tube) It snapped where it meets the carb. Sadly Ive done some research as to its purpose, and availability. Its pretty important, and nobody sells replacements. They have to be taken from another carb, so Im just going to buy a whole new one :/

    Snapped Emulsion Tube 1975 Dart

The break was clean from the base of the carburetor. Theres no extra length of the emulsion tube. Same with the emulsion tube, it is a clean break on the bottom.

    Snapped Emulsion Tube 1975 Dart

Carburetor model 1945 R7018 I dont have a picture of it in its current condition. Ill be back at the location I left the carburetor at later. For right now I have this picture. The emulsion tube is the thin needle like tube at the top, next to the venturi, to the left of the accelerator pump...

    Snapped Emulsion Tube 1975 Dart

Was doing a carburetor rebuild and through a process of third party interference, the emulsion tube (Haynes manual has it as Main Well Tube) snapped off. The 'great idea' of trying to solder it on came up and was attempted. Long story short, how do I fix this. Im assuming just putting the carb...

    75 Dart Swinger Carburetor Question

Ordered a rebuild kit. The car is an automatic with the 225 Slant 6. Rockauto and Ebay sell rebuild kits (got an ebay one) but I cant seem to find one that matches the carb's part number 1945 R7018 for reference. Does it matter? Or do some other carbs take the same rebuild kit?

Replacing Gas Tank with Fuel Cell 1975 Dodge Dart

Thank you! Yes, it did have a vent line. How necessary is that with a fuel cell that has vent outlet on the top? The original line ran from the side of the original tank to the gas 'fill tube' (i dont know the word for it, but its the tube that goes from your gas cap to the gas tank itself.)...

Replacing Gas Tank with Fuel Cell 1975 Dodge Dart

Okay, so for the purpose of details, the car in question is a 1975 Dart, with the /6, automatic (less than 94k miles on it too!) I got it running, but the trunk rotted out where the mounts for the gas tank would go. I said "screw it" and cut out the trunk, bought a fuel cell, and spent 3 days...
