Classic Industries OER front conversion question

Perfect. Exactly what I was curious about. I'll check the gap on my lca's before continuing with my swap. I purchased that same summit racing disc brake conversion kit today. I've been looking for nearly a year and recently UCA's have become impossible to purchase short of QA1's for 3 bills...

Classic Industries OER front conversion question

I don't hear about many people replacing the LCA. Is there a reason why this doesnt see as much attention? Whats the reason, in the video, for adding the stiffening metal? I'd assume these can bend/twist under heavy torque situations like road racing or is it just a good idea for improved...

Crazy not to buy? 67 coronet

It was in great shape. My terrible pictures do not do it justice. And it sounded like butter and chili peppers

Crazy not to buy? 67 coronet

I checked I looked over FBBO and couldn’t find much for 4 door models. Seems crazy that 4 doors drops the price by nearly %75. But that’s the price for being cool. I’m not in love with the look of this model year. Kinda like some girls I know. Looks good from behind but from head on it’s a...

Crazy not to buy? 67 coronet

Thanks everyone for your replies. This car is probably worth more in parts than whole, which is sad. It’s way too nice to be parted out. I don’t need another car, especially one with one off parts so I’ll pass for now. Hopefully it’s worth a lot more in a decade. Kindig did a remake of this...

Crazy not to buy? 67 coronet

yes it’s not an A body...I own a 68 barracuda but just ran across this 67 coronet for sale. Asking $6k. It’s a 440model with the 383 all original and in great shape. The seat has some tears in it but otherwise the interior is in great shape. Paint is phenomenal for the age. 4 door : ( Would I be...

Need Help Hooking Up This distributor

I did read post 8. Obviously the 50k coil is enough. What else is plenty enough or too much. Is the stock coil not strong enough? Should I at least be getting some spark from the stock coil, enough to show up on the timing light?

Need Help Hooking Up This distributor

I’m installing the same distributor on a previous points system. I read that my existing coil may be too small and am looking at upgrading but can’t find any info as to what size coil. I’d prefer to go with the round can type unless that’s a stupid idea.? Currently everything is hooked up to...

    LED headlights?

LED lights use less power and probably produce less heat than an equivalent light output incandescent. However with an incandescent light you aren't worried about the heat effecting lamp life. Heat to an LED is the death of the "filament" or the phosphorus yellow goo over the diode. This really...

    LED backlight install?

I was considering doing the same to the rear backup lights. They don't seem large enough to produce any usable light with old bulbs. There are so many LED light modules available. Although I haven't looked at the fixture to see how install would work, I'll post if I move forward with something
