    Steering ratio doubler advice.

@72bluNblu, My 66 Valiant wagon had a factory installed 16:1 steering box and 245/60/14 tires. It was very heavy but responsive driving down the road. It just wasn’t for me.

    Steering ratio doubler advice.

Have you driven your car with manual steering? A-bodies in my opinion don't need power steering. My go-to manual steering is the 20:1. It's one full turn faster than the 24:1 but not as "heavy" feeling as the 16:1. Electric power steering? Why? Are you planning to upgrade your electrical system...

    Tire clearance

15x7 is the wheel you want. A 255 is pretty big for an early A-body. You'll have to do some work to get it in the wheel well.

    Stacking aluminum lowering block?

I use 2" blocks to cut down because they're on the shelf locally.

    Stacking aluminum lowering block?

    Cut down a 2" block. That's what I usually do on early A-bodies to get 1 1/2".

Early A, 9”……if it was yours, take $ out of the equation, whats the best solution for brakes

Best bang for the buck (and engineering) is a 73-76 A-body style brake setup from Dr Diff.

SEEKING CAL 500 SLOTTED MAG CENTER CAP SOLUTION

Has the center bore been opened up? Looks a little “off”. Check eBay seller “Lugnut King” from Utah. He’s got a lot of hard to find wheel goodies.

Try Jeff at JC Auto Restoration, Inc. | Vintage MoPar Auto Parts & Restoration . He has a US 65 Valiant wagon and he has probably collected a few extras.

    273 dilemma

If you do find a replacement crank, remember that there are different size torque convertor registers in the rear of the crank.

66 Barracuda rear bumper pads or guards?

The bumper guards are probably dealer installed over the counter parts. If you remove one, they will likely have a pentastar and part number on the back side. The car that bumper came off of had a CB if I remember correctly so that other bracket was for an antenna.

    392 & 8hp70 65 Valiant

I was going to suggest Sound German Auto for your trans program. He's got a Sweptline that is super cool. Your Valiant is going to be killer...again.

I like most everything about this Barracuda. I would probably remove the dealer installed AC. Can't beat low mile cars.

    It's the Makita............."FLEET!!"....and a couple others

I've got all Makita 18V Li-Ion tools. I personally like them over the Dewalt and Milwaukee tools that my carpenters use. Just personal preference I guess.

    Yep, adjustable proportioning valve.

    Removing my 273 engine

The 360 is a pretty easy swap. Just a few things to change or modify. The passenger(?) motor mount needs to be modified, use the pre-1969 water pump, a 360 passenger car oil pan, machine shop needs to balance your flywheel for the external balance 360. Depends on what year the 360 is but there...

You will have to notch or eliminate the heater box for distributor clearance. The battery tray is very close to the valve cover. Most everything else is 64-66 V8 specific parts.

    New (old) Station Wagon

So I’ve missed having a wagon since I sold my 66 Valiant wagon a few years ago. I saw this one come up on Marketplace and it looked really familiar. It used to be mine, sold it in 2016. I made a deal with the seller and made the 200 mile trip East to get it. I handed him the cash and he handed...
