Exactly.. it's not painted purple.. I had a purple shaft that i bought years ago, and it was painted purple.. But, the one i just bought does have the exact samecasting marks in various places in the cam On the ends and in between the lobes. I'll try to upload some pics of each.

I have a set of lunati microtrol lifters and a set of comp cams high energy lifters...both hyd flat tap... Which is the better lifter
