Doing my best to look in there on the Wife's '67 with Whiskers in the way.... I can fully see that "triangle" with the hole in it. Doesn't appear to be clipped over it at all. Would love to pull the whisker... but not gonna happen.
No on the front torque boxes on her 67, there are also none on my 10,325 mile '66 HP2 Hemi Satellite x 4 gear. Guessing that may not have started until '68.
Amp meter didn't get hot, the shitty undersized corroded bulkhead connections did.
Generally caused from a run down battery and the alternator pumping full steam to recharge it. Bin Der.. Dun Dat. You need a new bulkhead connector block even if you bypass the amp meter...
LOL, and here's a better way than factory, as factory correct = expecting a body ground from a grungy fuel line, one bolt on tube clamp and some clip on tube holders to do a good job.
