I accidentally fried my amp gauge on my 1973 duster. Now the car is overcharging full time. I changed the voltage regulator but didn't solve problem. Would it be the alternator? Does anyone have any suggestions. The wires going to the back of the amp meter get very hot when running only.

Thanks anyway. I've got my hands full with my duster. Haven't got enough cash to finish her first. lol. One day, who knows. Disc brakes on the back is this winters project. Tore it apart the other day. Have to fabs some brackets to finish project.

I'm in the process of putting disc brakes on the back of my 1973 duster. You can use rotors off a ford crown vic, and calipers off an s-10 pick up. Rotors fit perfectly. I made brackets for the calipers to attach to. You also have to use an adjustable portioning valve. Wilwood makes one.

My car has manual brakes and disc brakes up front on my duster. The master cylinder on there now is cast but i purchased a new master cylinder from a dodge pickup. Part number m99294. You will also need the adapter plate because the new aluminum mc has a two bolt hook up instead of the four...
