    62 Valiant, '69 parts car - what'll work?

Here it is with some SBP 14" Rallyes in place of the 13s & what used to be tires. Should make a great, economical daily driver with a bit of TLC and some floor patches. Thanks again.

    Valiant Owners Post Here

62 Valiant 170ci & pushbutton auto rescued intact from a wrecking yard and certain crusher death by days, 67 Valiant with hot early '70s-built 273 4bbl swapped in over the past few years, dual exhaust. Was off the road since '91. I love bringing these things back to life.

    62 Valiant, '69 parts car - what'll work?

Hi all, it's been a while. The intact '62 Valiant I pulled out of a wrecking yard last year actually woke up easily and runs and drives. No brakes & nds gas tank, but we'll get to that. I have a parts '69 6 cylinder Dart for my other As, all later... wondering what (besides underhood & wheels)...

    Ignition interference in CB

Gimme a call tomorrow or Sat. 512.392.4400... I'm interested. This one's nice and small so I can fit it inside the storage part of the console. But even if not for this trip I have a stepvan I built into a camper and need a decent CB for it to replace this one. I have some interesting parts but...

    Ignition interference in CB

Wow wow wow... GREAT info. Can't thank you enough. 33s were (at least in the era of my late stepdad "The Green Bean" and on the East coast) "good things to you" or the equivalent, despite what the official meaning was. "...and 33s to you, too." Specifically, I have a small Radio Shack unit...

    Ignition interference in CB

Breaker 1-9, just wired in a CB for an upcoming road trip. Has a buzzy interference that rises with engine speed. I'm running a Jeg's Mopar electronic ignition, car's a '79. Want to be able to hear about the fuzz and give 33s. How to I kill the buzz? Much oblige, on the side.

Piston clearance / notching w/shaved head

Nothing huge, I have a NOS Direct Connection cam pkg, off the top of my head the part number ends in "69". I looked it up and it was "General High Performance", said to use the 340 valve spring. I know it's a bit more than a torque cam but it should wake it up pretty good all around. If I can...

Piston clearance / notching w/shaved head

I bought a 225, .030 over, .100 off the head, "engine builder" valves, and stock cam. If I install a bigger cam, will I have interference problems? If I'm basically building for torque, will I even need a bigger cam? Thanks in advance...

    318 eng. mount question

EVH not really; ash Strat, sure. It's on the curve... the 60s ones are out of sight, and they drag the 70s up too. Happy to take a look at it when I'm there!

Hey Green1, this is where your trans is going!

    318 eng. mount question

Excellent. Thank you again! Here's the Dart Sport. It's getting a warmed over balanced .060 over 318 with a tunnel ram & 2 4s, and a 3-speed manual floor shift. The engine will gleam; for now I'm leaving the rest ratty, the patina is just amazing inside & out.

    318 eng. mount question

The 318 is a late 70s - early 80s. Does this change things?

    318 eng. mount question

Cooool! Thanks - the only thing spookin' me is they list these mounts to fit so many cars & I know the 360s & 318s have different driver's side mounts... unless these are a special type that really does fit everything... heck, so long as they fit my 73 Dart that's enough for me. :) What are...

    318 eng. mount question

Yep, the receiving pieces are on the K frame. But 1-piece, 2-piece, insulator, spool-type... I look up the parts and still don't know what I need to order to get it done.

    318 eng. mount question

I'm kind of confused - I have a 73 Dart Sport, 318 car, has no mounts with it (but where they hook into the frame is there), putting in another 318. I look up parts for it & see different mount styles and odd extra pieces. Can anyone tell me everything I'll need, engine block to frame, and hook...

    WANTED A-body 3-spd. manual trans

Want to shift the 73 Dart Sport project manually but can't afford an 833, I'll be happy with one of YOUR working complete 3-speeds you took out to put the 4-speed in or just have around... very busy right now so please call, I'll be really slow with pms and emails. I'm in Texas near Austin...

    73 Dart Sport 318 to /6... help?

That's good to know, but I'm working in the TX sun in a gravel driveway with hand tools and if there's a way to rig it in there it'd probably be a LOT easier for me to do than to pull 2 K frames, 2 suspensions, and try to get it all back together PLUS do the engine & tranny... fabbing up...

    73 Dart Sport 318 to /6... help?

Hi everyone, I have a 73 Dart Sport builder, originally a 318/3-speed. I have a built slant six & 833 OD. I really don't want to change K frames as the only six cylinder one I'll have to use is a 69 with 9" drums etc. I want to keep the later suspension & brakes but get the six in there where it...

Barn find - floor shift - what did I find?

Hi all, here's a 73 Dart Sport that came with a 318 and a manual trans... it has what looks like a big rear end under it. Back seat folds. Plenty of patina! No engine or trans. Can somebody tell me more from the tag or photos? What's that rear? I do appreciate it! Long time lurker, I love this...

    NEED ASAP working 1-bbl for a /6

Hi all, it's taking longer than planned to arrange a new carb from a source and I need my little Dart back. I'm looking for a known good working (pulled off a good running engine, no cracked base, minimal shaft play, etc.) Holley 1920 or Carter BBS. Please contact me and tell me what you have -...
