Fuel Sender Probably Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time

Oh but he did pose for a picture when we picked the car up. I promised Sean I'd give him copies of the pictures when I finished with it . Did I mention he lives in Florida. I hope no one finds the drill pipe I once used on the 65 mustangs upper a frame. I'm sure the pond water is gone from the...

Fuel Sender Probably Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time

It was an option alright. Not sure if it was the best opton. and Yes it was definetly filtered. 1/2 inch by 1 inch rough opening sitting on the bottom of the tank. It filtered everything including most of the fuel from getting through. I'm just thankful I took some advice and quit for the day...

71 Duster in Oklahoma Not Mine

[email protected] I saw this and took a trip to see it. It is a /6 with A/C no motor or transmission; there looked to be a v-8 904 in the trunk. The floor pan and trunk are rust free. Both of the rear wheel areas have rust and the passenger side rocker panel has pin holes. I...

    Holley Carb ID

Wow that was quick! Thanks I appreciate the help. I've always been a wannabe racer so I bought a 74 Duster last week that was not running. This carb was sitting on a single plane intake that I figured was going to need rebuilt before it would run. It surprised me and runs well but it looks...

    Static Oil Leak Help Suggestions???????????

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. I was disgustdisgusted with it and walked away from it for over a month. I went out an hour ago to take another look. The problem turned out to be the oil filter with a very slight crack in it. Thanks again!

    Static Oil Leak Help Suggestions???????????

Thanks, I agree a quart is a lot to lose. I should have given more information but the engine has been rebuilt and just started. I did not use a 90 degree adapter and used a WIX short filter. Thanks again I'll look at the oil filter.

    Static Oil Leak Help Suggestions???????????

The Demons 360 has an oil leak that is leaking about a quart of oil overnight. I see no drips or flows while the engine is running. It appears to come from the high rear of the engine on the passenger side. The area around the rear main and oil pan is dry as is around the oil filter. I've looked...

    How many here.....

I'm a dreamer. Two 71 Demons, Two 74 Dusters (one for parts) ...none of them finished. On the way home with the last my wife said, " You know that you can't buy them all". I've been thinking about that but I still find myself looking and if the right one came up I'd find a way to get it. Later...

    318 EGR Exhaust Ports Welded

I have a 318 from a 1985 Ramcharger that I want to put in a 71 Demon (that I've had to walk away from more than once). However, the EGR ports to the exhaust ports have been welded closed. :banghead: Is that going to pose a problem? I wouldn't think so but I'd like to have some input from someone...

    Scarebird disc conversion

Thanks Scarebird. You've pretty much answered how someone can put disc brakes on a 38 year old car at a reasonable price not to mention with little if any aggravation. This setup won't be for everybody but then that's what makes this hobby (Life) so great. Someone else may come up with a better...

Got a leak coming from gear selector

O'Reillys has the selector shaft seal and once you drain the fluid you should be able to change the seal. Take the pan off, valve body, shift linkage and drive the seal out. I used a long bolt, 2 large diameter washers and nut to install the seal.
