The shipping weight for my '72 Duster 340 was 3110 lbs. I would say that was without full tank. I would believe yours would be much less. At least 100 lbs. Terry

The stripe difference for the '71 and '72 models was the '340' callout was attatched to the stripe in '71 and detached in '72. I mention this because I see MANY '72's with the wrong stripe and '71's with the wrong stripe. When you try to 'help' them out with it they look at you like you are...

OldKimmer...you are correct sir ! They infact did lower the piston .100 in the bore. Piston change is all. If you have an early and late piston opn hand, slip a wrist pin into both at same time and you will see. Terry

1972 Duster 340's had the 'shark tooth' grill also. The 1972 Dusters had the long tail lights where the 1970 and 1971's had the much shorter tail lights. Really only difference between them. The 1970 Duster didn't have the 'ridge' in the center of the trunk lid...I believe..I could be wrong...

That's a '72 Duster. Where did he get the idea it is a '73 ? '72's had the longest tail lights of the early (1970-1972 dusters. Yes...too much he is asking. Could be a good find for someone ...anybody ??

Going to invest in a mig welding set up. Wanting to know what you have used out there and what you think of them. Not needing anything super expensive, maybe $500. - $600. range. just for home shop use. Body work, light welding header repair, ect. I already have a good stick welding set...

Just a note to say thanks to our veterans out there for the freedom we enjoy. For the sacrifices they made for us. They gave away all thier tomorrows for us. Personally I am very grateful to all of them for that. I am riding up to D.C. tomorrow with Rolling Thunder as I do every year as show...

No..thats too much. They are still out there for much less. I sold a nice clean set of 'X' heads for 300.00 about five years ago. I'd pass on them for 600.00...you can pick up a nice set for less. JMHO. Terry.

Yes I have one in my 340. Vaccum went from 4.5" to 10" with this change. Old cam was 284/.484 Mopar Hyd. I have 1.6 cranes and true lift is .545. I like it fine. Good off of idle and pulls to over 6500. Good street maners also. Terry.

Yes, what Hotwheels said. It will work just fine. Use Diesel oil to break in new lifters. Terry.
