    I have a mccleod 100 series clutch and pressure plate, from passon performance. It's taken alot of abuse no complaints, I would buy the same one again. Had a centerforce in it, chattered like crazy.

    Whats the preferred way to adjust the roller rockers on a magnum 318. Rockers are crane 1.6 to 1 ratio. I have the mopar valve lash chart, just want to know of any tips or tricks from the pros. thanks again

    I have a 1970 duster with a 408 with eddy ported heads, 10.5 to 1 , 833 4-speed 391 gears and 28 by 12.5 mickey drag radials. I ran a best of 12.20 @ 119. I think with a harder launch it should see 11's . Good luck!! Also dyno was 397 rwhp

    Rod bearing oil passage

    With out the U shaped notch in the bearing how would it get oil ? am i over thinking this ? Would like to final assemble today, just don't want it to fail on me ....

    Does anyone know if the clevite rod bearing (cb-481p) is correct for my 95 magnum 318. My original bearings had a U shape notch that corresponded with the connecting rod for an obvious oil passagge, these do not. thnx again

    Fastest stock bottom end LA 318

    Not an LA, but went 11.75 in a 318 magnum in a 95 dakota. No head work, 11lbs of boost and a 50 shot of NX. Yes I know it was risky, it was a free motor.

    If you go efi I would use the a-518 out of the magnum donor vehicle also. The ovderdrive is where you will net the most mpg gain.

    Do I need more intake

    It's the gears, I was running 3.23 gears with my stroker 4-speed , back to 3.91 now. It was a dog in certain gears due to the rpm. Change gears before wasting money on other parts.

    My best 60 ft is 1.90, I don't rev it to the moon and dump it. I load it a little roll out and hammer it, second gear it will spin some. I am running m/t drag radials, on the car always..     238 242 @ .050 No numbers on heads previous owner told me they were ported by hughes, engine builder said they were 2.02 valve and had a very nice port job done to them. Wish I had more info!

    That was a brain cramp, hyd. flat. All in all I am very pleased, car has great street manners, with the 4-speed it feels alot quicker than my quarter mile time slip shows.

    Anyone dyno their 408 on a chassis dyno ? I did mine 4 weeks ago and the result was 391 hp and 389 lb ft. Motor is 10.5 to 1 ported, 2.02 eddies m-1 intake, 750 holley hp and bullit hydraulic solid 282 -292 @108. Also it was a mustang dyno.

    Mine is a magnum, ported hughes edelbrock heads, no claim on horsepower my time was with 323 gears. Just put 391 back in it today !!! what a difference.
