200R4 is the smallest and easiest overdrive tranny to stuff into an a body without doing major tunnel surgery. Mopar To Ya has one in his dart sport. Just do a search for it. And a 200R4 can withstand a crap load of power when built plus it's all hyd.

I'm just pointing this out. You are wanting to use a 4 speed auto that you'll have to do some serious tunnel surgery in order to make it fit. So why would you limit yourself to that 4 speed? A little more cutting and fab (which shouldn't be a big deal seeing how you're already willing to cut and...

I'd go Hemi. EFI with a 6 speed tranny, sounds like hours of driving the car to me :twisted:

If you rebuild the 727 it can handle the power and bolt right up to the hemi no problem. That said if youre going to cut the tunnel to install a tranny, way waste money by using an auto o/d (which you don't want) instead of just install a 6 speed manual? There is a thread on here about someone...

Cool! But I would angle the down turns from straight down to a 45 (pointed to the outside of the car) so you can at least hear yourself think with them open.

Hotchkis TVS comes to mind. Autoxcuda uses this system and thinks its great.

All that money in it, you might as well cut the tunnel and drop in a Viper or New Challenger 6 Speed. The TKO 6060 is a really good tranny.:cheers:

Its the same as swapping in a 5.7 or 6.1. Lots of people have done it just look through the forum.

The tps gone bad that or something isn't reading right with the ECM.

Cheapest would be gen 3, then gen 1 (including hard to find parts), final gen 2 (just think of the 572). In the end the gen 3 would probably the lighter of the gens and la blocks

Which Hemi are you talking about? G1, G2, or G3?

You can always use the 727 with a Gear Vendor O/D unit on which will turn your 3 speed auto into a 6 speed auto.

Look at the GM 200r4, it is an overdrive tranny and is actually smaller than a 727. You will need to have it beefed up. I've seen this tranny live quite well behind a 1100hp buick grand national without any problems.

Why no just get the tranny out of a new challenger (TKO6060)?

You can always put an alterKation setup there. All the room you'll needed you get to keep you ps plus it's a rack and pinion

Give Total Seal a call, pretty sure they would have/make them for you. Plus you can get them with a gapless option maybe.

I would ditch the a500 and go with a 727 with a gear vendors unit. This won't have you cutting the floor and also give you a 6 speed auto instead of a 4 speed auto

I know a 727 will bolt up to them without a problem and gear venders is the way to go but you should be able to bolt a sb 904 without a problem, I'd have that 904 built before I used it but that's just me

Took a shot in the dark on this one (I've drive and SRT8 Jeep there pretty bad ***) figured the Jeep was a truck/suv so guess I was wrong

what about the setup in the SRT8 Jeep, Aren't those truck motors?

Why not just get the new TKO 6060 out of a wrecked Challenger and know everything will bolt right to it?
