Beat A Dead Horse Demon Suspension Recommendations

My junk is still in pieces… I have accumulated lots of parts from different vendors. I have adjustable uca from Hotchkiss, just watched a video on a fellow that got them, and couldn’t run the wheels he wanted. I recommend you think about the brakes and tires you are planning to run. It may...

Any down sides of going Borgeson vs Firm Feel?

Not sure if this applies to you, but on my gen iii swap(e body), I bought headers first, tti, then looked at steering boxes. Wrong order for my project. You need the right headers for the Borgeson box depending on the direction you are going. I bought a bunch of stuff and had my box rebuilt by...

    FIRM FEEL

I bought some parts thru them, had my steering box done as well. They are very willing to talk to you about your purchase. More than just the sale, good dudes. Would purchase from them again.

    More front suspension goodies!

That, my friend, is some stand up stuff. And will get you business in the future. Like mine. But I am sure you know that. Just had to say it.

    Sway Bar sale and rebate!

I bought my bars from them years ago. Got a good deal. Oddly, they were missing a bushing, I contacted them and they offered to send one out immediately. I am sure it has been said many times, but the Hellwig bar works very well. Agree with the part number comment.

    Another Swaybar thread

Running Hellwig. But if I wasn’t, I would probably go with PST because of the support here. Support is a dying trend unfortunately.

What chassis mods will I need on 440 conversion

I may be in the minority here, I had a 68 Fomula S 383. Wish I hadn’t sold it. But I think I would stay small block for the handling and ease of driving. I guess it really depends on how you are using the car. I drove that S as a daily driver. Don’t get me wrong, HP and TQ are great, but I would...

    Anti Sway Bar Hellwig 55905

I have a Hellwig bar, same finish. It’s a good piece. I would probably start with a smaller drill, I don’t think I would go 9/16. Even a 1/2 may have enough “wobble” for the little bit extra. Or, induce a little wobble, if that makes sense.

Strut rod washers.... correct way to use.

Just to muddy up the waters a bit..... Just spoke with FirmFeel, they say with their stuff you cup the washers toward the driver. Commented there is the most movement on the inside, so that is why they recommend doing it that way.

Swapping out old PS box? Any suggestions on new one?

Had I known it might be pretty small modifications, I may have went Borgeson. For the weight and shipping.

Swapping out old PS box? Any suggestions on new one?

Yep, TTIs were specific on what box you could use. So, I went FirmFeel.

Swapping out old PS box? Any suggestions on new one?

No, I bought my headers prior to the box. Because of the headers, I could not get the Borgeson.

Swapping out old PS box? Any suggestions on new one?

I got mine from FirmFeel. Shipping was pricey. They are in Washington. Great service, no kidding great. One reason I didn’t go Bergman was my headers, not sure if that will affect you, but something to think about.

I have an e body if you are looking to sell it. We’re the only mods to the bolt holes?

    What you think about Firmfeel

Ordered a stage three box and front end rebuild kit last week. Don’t remember the name of the guy I spoke with, but was knowledgeable and I was pretty happy with the customer service. I have Hotchkiss uppers, and he modded the price of the kit so I didn’t have to pay for what I didn’t need. 3-4...

Hellwig Sway Bar review-front and rear

Just a quick note, I have a 73 Barracuda and purchased front and rear Hellwig sway bars. I put the front on a few months ago, and finally put the rear on yesterday. The rear is the adjustable one. This totally transformed my wallowy(is that a word?). The car is completely different. Before it...

    Hellwig Sway Bar install/review

This review is for guys(like I was) that can't decide which sway bar manufacturer to use. First off, this was done on an e body, but still will show the quality and results etc. I installed a 1 1/8 front bar on a 73 cuda and the results were fabulous. Install was straight forward and the...

Haven't been back out to the car yet. Taking a break, plus football is on. Need to find out soon what the damage is on the internals.

I will try the hammer method. Never done that before. Quite irritated at this point. Thanks. Jason

    Help! Centerlink very stubborn.

After my recent escapades with SOMETHING putting a hole in my oil pan, I started to drop my pan, but am having lots of trouble dropping the centerlink. Advise please! Jason
