71 Duster Grille Inner Trim Removal

If you look at the trim on the back side, there is tabs that fold over on the grill. Bend it up carefully and push it off. Just to let you know both pieces are the same so you cant mix them up. I hope this helps

    AAR sixpack scoop doesnt fit

I got mine from UP22.com and it was a mess! It took a month to get my six pack scoop. I had to trim the front center part of the scoop to fit over the raised section of the hood on my 72 Scamp hood. I used my air saw to trim the section as well as cutting the opening in the scoop. I wound...

    Eliminate vent windows?

Yea I love mine too, like said in an earlier post why do you want to get rid of them, wing windows are great. Wing windows were a big deciding factor on what car I chose

Painting car seperately, will there be color difference?

Yea metallics need to be sprayed with the car together to get the same look to every body panel. If you paint the car then the doors, hood etc once you put it together it might not match but non metallics will be fine to spray seperately .

Once you think you have got it ready for primer, prime it then lightly guide coat the primer with a contrasting rattle can paint and wet sand to find any high/ low spots then if you have to reprime and then...

    6 pack hood on a 73 - 76 swinger

Now having the rib in the center of my hood, I cut a little out of the center front of the scoop so it would sit down on the hood. Which you may have to do that as well before you lay mat down on your hood. As for your "flipped" up edges so to speak, you may have to sand it how you want it...
