Mopar Engines ~ "Combinations That Should Have Been Made Available"

-I still say they should have done a 383 6 pack/6 barrel for cars with the "B" block in them! Just for a "baby" big block 6 pack/barrel.....

Who is overfilling my crankcase oil?

My wife, got something in the mail from a Kia dealership, that was offering FREE 5 point look overs to a $10 oil change with filter, she went and had it done to our Buick. Sent her home with a short list of things they seen, took the car to my Step-Sons garage, on the lift, I seen 3 S-L-O-W...

    Wierd happenings today

LOVE the "Catch me Copper" color!!!! THATS not one seen on the Vipers..... NICE ride, GREAT price, the hood looks repairable, not needing replaced! Is what I see possible? Looks more like surface cancer then a true replacement issue......

Police motors have published horsepower ratings?

I always thought the Police Pursuit Mopars had a better cam, and all came with some sort 4 barrel carburetor. BUT that too, I also think they had different axle gearing then "civilian" cars of the same brand and type....just to make them that much faster and use more of the torque the engine...

When ya think ya screwed something up...

I used to LOVE the neighbors when I lived in Pennsylvania! I'd be in the yard, they'd be out mowing the grass and all of a sudden their mower would simply "die" did everything, changed plug, looked at coil wire to the magneto, EVERYTHING, then I hear, Hey John, can you come see me for a bit? OR...

****, for fun? Why NOT the NEW 440 Hemi, procharged and go like a bat outta hell..........The best of all 3 worlds! Mopar makes the new 3G Hemi thats a 440, and I BET because the block is the same on all the NEW 3G Hemi's you can find a bolt on supercharger.... BOM, DONE! I bet that gets...

    An engine question...

Rani, I hate to argue with you, BUT that 426 Wedge is an RB block. BUT, the 426 HEMI was based off that same block!! The heads were meant to be a bolt on accessory to the 426 Wedge, for racing only in '64....Wasn't till '66 that the "Hemi" became general sales...BUT by this time the block for...

    An engine question...

Well see, I was wondering if ANY had a designation number or letter..... I know the following on them, Dodge was the Red Ram. Chrysler was the Fire Power. Desoto was the Fire Dome. Imperial was the Fire Power (just like Chrysler) Plymouth DID NOT have a Hemi type head engine back then, they...

    An engine question...

Guys, what better place to ask such a question then here!? So here goes nothin'..... We as Mopar guys know and hear all the time of the Slant 6 engines and they are classes "G" and "RG". The small blocks are known as "A" for the old ones, or "LA" for the newer ones. "A"'s being...

Check out this "different" 65 Coronet

THAT would look AWESOME if the person that done the work would have followed through on the attaching body work, such as mentioned the bumper and the fender edges to have that gap filled with sheet metal.......AND yes, it could have been done! But they did it for a quick turn around more then...

    Restoring old Valve covers....

Yeah it is sort of weird.... I suppose, BUT these valve covers are no longer able to be used "In-Service" due to rust and the seal factor, just isn't there any more, plus in area's the metal is well pretty weak to do any sort of "tightening" on them. BUT considering they're old and have been...

Some of my "other" projects..... As you all know, I'm a avid modeler, BUT at times that real auto bug, bites me, and leave a welt! Well with that, I have my Step-Son Zach, and his neighbor Doug to thank! LOL Zach's neighbor Doug has this, ummmmm "junk Yard" not really, he lives out in the...

    Why the "wedge" designation..

    A Hemi-Wedge? ---^ ?
  29. 67 Power Wagon

    Why the "wedge" designation..

Well then....The Chrysler "A" engines were all Polyspherical as the Early Hemis' were Hemispherical, and then when the B/RB blocks came along with the LA "Light A" engines were all "Wedge"....Meaning the combustion chambers were on the "A" a Polyphere, on the Hemi naturally Hemispherical, and...

    Not enough patience for pics...?

I find working in a garage, and taking pics don't go over well at all. Most times, the "perfect" time to snap a pic, is the same time your hands look like absolute **** and pretty much covered in said material too.... Grabbing a camera with nasty greasy oily hands and then going home to upload...
