I would go with option #2. That way parts can be inspected and having the block sonic checked, there's no worries in the future #3 would be good also but giving it a once over before diving to far into would be great

Just quoting what the gentleman said who built my trans brake transmission. You can't footbrake off of a transmission that is setup for a brake. Your car works very , but removing the brake just might be the ticket alone

Sorry about the bad day. But I had a similar issue after putting on new slicks on the Demon I use to own. Turns out it was the lower ball joint was bad. But come to think of it after I replaced the ball joint ,John Holt aligned and scaled the car drove straight as a arrow after that. Good luck...

Just a side note if you cut the inner fenders might want to look at tying the shock towers into the roll bar. On my old race car someone before me made the frontend 1 piece removable ,

I had the same issue with my old race car I would leave it in neutral in the staging lanes car won't move, then started checking the rear brakes I found drums a little tighter than they should be plus all the dust/ rubber from burnouts. After that you could push it around with 1 hand

When I switched to trans brake my 60 ft became consistent which helped the car but didn't give it enough time to get a handle on cutting a light

Has the front end been rebuilt my old race car would do the same as what you are describing when ball joints went bad .... Nice car seat time is your friend
