I have a 12 volt fan cooling an air compressor in my van that is powered when the compressor is on. I need a timer/relay that allows the fan to keep running for 3 or 4 minutes after the compressor shuts off. Anyone know what I can use?

Make sure it is in park, you may have bumped the shifter when removing the cluster.

Check that again, green is field and blue is hot!

With the reg unpluged you should have battery voltage at the blue wire at the alt end and the reg end, with the key on. The reg case has to be grounded to the body AND the engine has to be grounded to the body.

9 years and still good. I keep it on a battery tender all the time.

That is for the start wire from the solenoid . You can get a pigtail for it at any dealer.

Do not remove that connector!

Your doing something wrong, if the case was "hot" ,12 volts, and grounded, something would burn! The shock bolt is not grounded. What problem are you having with the car or are you just playing with a test light?

The above diagram will work but will not pass NHRA tech rules. Because both ford solenoids are not cut by the disconnect switch, if either solenoid fails closed, you could have a fire.

Police cars from the 80's had them on 360's. Someone on FABO should have them. In all my years working on Chryslers, I have never seen a 100 amp fail.

I think you should also drill several holes in the bracket to allow air flow thru the empty ECU box. Keep the holes from showing once assembled and none drilled under the HEI pad. Your doing a great job. Keep the pictures coming.

Did you use synthetic oil after the break-in?

HF fuses were recalled. I remember reading about this a few years back.

Does anyone know of a poor man's timing retard for factory Mopar electronic ignition? The 340 I am working on currently, likes 20 degrees initial and I have modified the distributor for 34 total. The problem is it kicks back sometimes during cranking and has broken 2 starters.
