Bogged down While In Gear And Sputtered During Acceleration

Hate to say it, but this sounds like it is running just like my car was when I installed the timing chain a tooth off. When I fired the motor up for the first time it started great, ran at 2000rpm for 20-30 min, started up again after letting it cool, but would bog and die as soon as I put it...

What BRAND gears are my fellow Mopar guys liking?

No problem! I read the stories about noise too but, knock on wood, mine have been quiet for the 1000 miles I've had them in. And I talked to one guy that has over 100 empty Motive boxes from all the sets he's installed through his shop in the last few years and he said he's never had 1 issue. My...

What BRAND gears are my fellow Mopar guys liking?

I have used 3 different sets of Richmond Gears (which I heard were recently bought out by Motive Gear) and were always happy with them. Currently I have a set of Motive gear 3.73's and have no complaints. They look to be the same as Richmonds but in a different box-I was even able to use the...

    727 Recommended Type ATF?

I was told by two different trans builders to use type F. One guy is mainly a GM guy, but built my 727, the other guy only does Mopars. So I've only used type F for the last 12 years in my car.

    8.75 Axle vent

Sweet! If I can't get it cleaned out I at least know where I can get one from. Thanks!

    8.75 Axle vent

I tried to clean it, but even after soaking it and blasting it with brake clean I can barely blow through it. I thought about making one out of a pipe nipple, but it also holds the brake block in place. I guess I could get the correct length with a cap in it to hold the block in place, and...

    8.75 Axle vent

I went to check the fluid in my rear and while loosening the plug it was hissing real loud and gear lube shot out as soon as I got the plug out. I'm assuming my axle vent is plugged, but none of the parts stores have it. Where can I get one from? It looks like a simple design and I even...

    727 Deep Pan

I have the summit pan. Very nice for the price. The only problem I had is it uses a pipe thread plug for the drain plug and I overtightened it and with pipe threads being tapered threads it cracked the pan. I had a shop weld it up and put a normal drain plug with a gasket on and its been good since.
