I feel your pain. I had a pair installed and they were poorly stamped at the top of the quarter where it meets the door. They are installed now, all the lines match up, all the gaps are outstanding, except that one spot. Every time I post something regarding it I get blown up by unhelpful...

I used bedliner spray tinted to match my body. This is on the way to becoming a hard driven 3 season driver. I used Monstaliner.

Mine had the bad gap!

My AMD quarters were off by 3/4 of an inch at the top of the door, on my 71 Duster.

I cut the braces out of my Duster hood! Then welded in sheet to cap the freshly formed brace ends. Then to prevent flex and warp and other damage issues, I pulled the springs from the hinges. I will now have to use a prop rod for my hood. Probably a very liveable situation for your car.

In my humble opinion you couldn't have started with a better project! You have the luxury of coating all those inner panels! Yumm!

The whole car only weighs 3000-3300! Just spitballin but my guess stripped and gutted 800-1000. I can lift my front end and walk it around like wheelbarrow easily enough!

I just had a set installed over the summer. At the top of the doorjamb, under the side window it didnt even come close! We ended up having to pie cut the panel and make a patch. In regard to those last pics...we had that same prob. with the AMD. Alas it is the only game in town, and it looks fantastic now! remember that car is 40 years old...tons of things can happen in that time! Just do it and be ready to make a pie cut and fill in with a piece you will have to fab!

Check out Rad Rides by Troy, he has come out with some kind of coating, that sprays on but is not primer. It leaves the bare metal exposed, but keeps it from rusting. Cheap rattlecan primer is just that cheap, not worth the can it is packaged in!

The rim is a 17 x 8 with 4.75" offset. After I get it stripped and primed I will temporarily install the new k member with everything else and mount up the wheel. Then without the t bar installed I will work the wheel through all the range os motion.
