i didn't think you were talking about that...it seemed like it , but i was thinking the same thing..lol!!! there was a thread on here once along time ago about a guy that was going to actually run the power box with the belt off of the pump because he liked the feel better that way. that is...

    Front end feels really sloppy

so you are saying you replaced the manual steering box with a power box? then you say it is not power steering. if i understand this right then you are running a power steering box with no power attched to it. this will kill the box overtime. shocks are regular oil filled. that is another...

use the beefer ones as it makes a world of difference. numbers maybe different here from this article but you get the meaning here: 11/16" tie rod upgrade The 11/16″ tie rod and sleeve set-up that works in virtually all muscle-era Mopars, A, B, and E-body, are just stock...

Why do I have such sloppy steering?

35+ years of turning and bouncing around on rubber bushings and joints wears them slap out after awhile. it will drive better than new after you go through the front end.

help! i might have made a mess of things.....

thanks guys! i found all of the parts i had lost for the coupler on the ground. i found the shoes ,the spring clip, and the dust cover, no pin though. i guess it was missing to begin with maybe. i will transfer the large turn signal cancel clip from the wheel to the adapter to fix that.

help! i might have made a mess of things.....

well as the title says i might have made a mess of things. what i did was try to pull off a steering wheel the wrong way ( without a proper puller ) what i ended up doing was getting it off but in the process i pulled the steering shaft out of the coupler from the steering box! is this now...

well with a priority like that coming then it will be easier and cheaper to get the swaybar done before the cage for sure! #1 swaybar = better ride, benifit to her, yes! cost factor is low. #2 aluminum radiator = cooler car, benefit to her??? cost factor again fairly low. #3 cage = safety ...

    Torsion bar upgrade

just saw you had .081 bars now. what ever you choose it is going to be a huge upgrade from where you are now. .089 is 4 steps heavier, and .092 is 5 steps heavier. good shocks are a must as well. kyb's , or any good nitrogen filled shock is a big help....

    Torsion bar upgrade

.089 or .092 are as far as i would go. just a preference here, but it will ride like a wheelbarrow with heavier torsion bars. i went with the .089 on my 340 demon and they took a while to "settle in". the ride is still firm but very responsive. i wouldn't want anything stronger myself. again...
