i see the car has a code i do not know. does anybody know what a29 is for? i know it is a decor package of some type or a package for sound or fuel or something.....i don't see a29 anywhere? hey litup do you have the window sticker by chance? if so what does it say on the sticker?

this is all i could come up with. some of these codes were for specific years and some were for specific cars.... tortoise skin= v1y gold & green mod top= v1y blue mod=v1q blue green floral=v1q mod yellow=v1p yellow floral=v1p pasley=v1j walnut pattern=v1j green floral=v1h black...

i do not belive that is an original top. good looking car don't get me wrong but the top is not listed in the 1970,71,or 72 dealer data books as an option. what does the fender tag code for the top say it is? welcome aboard as well!

from what i know of it, (data is real sketchy) the 72 340 swingers had the stripes, but it again could have been an option . the scoops i do belive were factory installed. it would make sense that all of this got put on at the factory as they had all the parts there as the demons were still...

no for a 70 dart it would have just have had the blacked out hood. the sizzler style stripes were used for the 71 sizzler demons and 72 demons , and special 72 340 darts.

the fendertag would have j54 for scoop and show v21 for hood blackout. you could not have the scoop on a demon without the hood blackout, or the blackout without the scoop though, as this was a package. so yes you are correct

i think they look pretty cool myself, however i do believe they can come off (not easily). i think i had seen one before with it off at a show before and it looked kinda weird wiithout it to be honest....good luck

i know i shouldn't but hear goes......to me this is clearly a factory putting the wrong hood on and then putting the scoop on afterwards or the hood was sent out and then caught by the dealer and corrected before time of delivery. the fact it has underhood insulation makes me lean this way as...

can you post a pic of what you used? i have no idea what you are useing. Cerium Oxide Polish? it does look pretty good.

silver stripes would have added and painted. silver stripes were never offered. as far as b9 regal blue. it is a real dark blue like navy almost. that car is no where near that dark...

it is b5 true blue irid. that is the name for 1973 b5. that chart is for 1970 colors.....

you are not gonna want or like white on that color....black will look good. get someone to photoshop white stripes on it and you will see what i mean....

sorry, core support is body color... white. it is blackend out on the front side per. factory as to not see it through the grill though.
